This little (horrible) but beautiful thing is called a ‘fix flex trace’

Its purpose to to act as a doner for missing and broken pads on a PS5 like this one that was dropped with such force it ripped pads 1 & 6.

Most people think it’s game over when pads get broken but thanks to Uber Micro Repairs they have saved the day twice now for this PS5 and an Xbox series X 😍

When someone asks about getting there back glass repair on an iPhone lower than a 14 and I explain it can take 7-10 hours because it’s done by hands this video explains why.

When heated and removed by hand instead of a laser I have to remove every single fragile component due to risk of over heating as my heat gun is seat to 250°-280° and the risk of puncture or slicing a fragile component with the exacto blade to get under that resin it’s originally held down with.

It’s hours and hours of heating removing shard by shard letting it cool and starting again then it has to be cleaned and pressed with new adhesive and then another 1-2 hours of putting it all back in to the device.

And then screws are small 🥲😂

Not you’re ideal repair on a Wednesday night 🥲

This Xbox series X went to another shop for repair initially it was working but then came the flickers and then stopped working all together 🤯

The diagnostics a damaged pad that was poorly held down once damaged if anything intentionally hidden (bodged) 😭

So this is called a ‘trace fix flex’ and it’s job is to act like a bridge to connect what was a broken copper pad to the original trace making a full connection and also giving it a lot more strength 😍

This is a genius move from Uber Micro Repairs this has shaved hours and hours and a lot of room for error and really narrowed it down to a very easy fix 🙏🏻

The main issue you’ll face with a repair like this is the prep work everything has to be flat even 0.1mm can make a huge difference and scraping back the solder mask to expose the connecting trace is a skilled job in itself but if you look you do kind of get a second chance but let’s do it right the first time 💪🏻

Unfortunately the newer the device the more prone they are to damage because things are getting more expensive but weaker so this

iPad 11th gen digitiser needed a replacement which means stripping off the old broken glass removing the microphone and camera frame and magnets off the old and putting on the new.

Removing the old adhesive cleaning everything up inside and out as standard and after applying Tesa tape giving it a test to make sure all touch functions work close it up and it’s good as new.

One happy little girl 😊

If you ever get a text message like the one in image.png, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK.

Phishing scams (or "smishing" via SMS) are getting incredibly sneaky, but they almost always leave behind massive red flags. Here is how you can spot this fake instantly:

🛑 The Sketchy Link: Look closely at ⁠[wallet-userupdate7.com/s](https://wallet-userupdate7.com/s)⁠. Apple will only ever direct you to their official domains (like ⁠apple.com⁠ or ⁠icloud.com⁠).

🛑 The Random Number: Apple doesn't text you from a random, 11-digit mobile number. They use verified, official sender IDs or short-codes.

🛑 The Fake Urgency: "Do this within 24 hours to avoid service interruption." Scammers love using artificial deadlines to panic you into acting before you think.

What to do instead:
1️⃣ Report & Delete: Hit that "Report Spam" button immediately and clear the message from your phone.

2️⃣ Go to the Source: If you’re ever genuinely worried about your account, manually open your iPhone's Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay. Never trust a link sent over text.
