It's well known that Les spends many hours with one bucket, one stool and out whatever the weather fundraising outside of Whitehouse Services BP garage for North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team

Well, Les has only gone and done it again! And raised over £10,000 over the last 12 months.

We cannot thank Les and Whitehouse Services enough for all the years of fundraising and awareness for us as a team. Both should be awarded the BBC Devon Make a Difference award for the extraordinary support for their local Mountain Rescue team

📸 Dartmoor Photographic Turns 40!

Dartmoor Photographic was established in 1986 by the late Kathie Hall. In 1997, following Kathie’s passing, her son Keith took over the shop and led it through an incredible period of change, from traditional film to the ever-evolving digital world. Keith continued to grow the business until his retirement in November 2025, when the shop was taken on by Chris Fenner, owner of Dartprint and Inkprint.

Over the past 40 years, the shop has moved three times, starting on North Street, then to Duke Street, and finally to Brook Street in the early 2000s. When Keith first took on the Brook Street premises it was a rundown building in need of repair, later in business he made the decision to extend the shop backwards, where they moved into the shop next door (previously Tavistock Times) for a few weeks to continue providing printing services to Tavistock while the building work continued.
In the 2010’s the shop saw a re-fit with the move away from the bright yellow Kodak colours to the Blue you see today.
