After a fantastic 2022, all of the team here at bright* want to wish all of our clients a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

2022 has been great year and we can’t wait to work with so many of you again, fully supported by our hard working and passionate subcontractors, who always go above and beyond to make every project exactly as is wanted!

Once again, it is sad news that our many planned hybrid events have to be postponed for another stretch of time but great that our colleagues and cast friends can continue to prepare until we are able to get back to having an audience.

As from our previous posts, the team at bright* are very proud to be working in collaboration with The McMillan Theatre and the fantastic broadcast studio!

Hi all!

It’s been great to have some hustle and bustle around the office this last week with kit and crew out and about on various projects, more collaboration with our friends at The McMillan Theatre broadcast studio, and our online store shipping consumables and cable to clients all over the country.

During these ongoing and challenging times as venues are still not able to open their doors fully, and with the ever rising popularity of online streaming to deliver high level professional entertainment directly in to homes, bright* working in collaboration with the team at The McMillan Theatre are very proud to have developed what is now known as the McMillan Broadcast Studio.

Over the last 6 months, Theatre Manager Antony Bruton, Technical Manager Dan Jenkins and bright* Project Manager Joe Rockett have been working together to produce a variety of online performances in what is now one of the largest (if not largest) broadcast studios in the South West.

With professional cameras and broadcast equipment alongside a flexible lighting and rigging system, the team have delivered both free weekly performances of local artists as well as private pay to view streams that have been broadcast internationally!
Just the local performances have reached nearly 80,000 viewers alone!

Over the next few months we will be continuing to work with the theatre team on a number of hybrid events including musical theatre performances, bands, magicians, comedians and talk shows and will even be live broadcasting panto at the end of December!

Back at the end of August the bright* team were very proud to work alongside some hugely talented industry professionals at Glastonbury Abbey on one of the first socially distanced concerts in the South West.

One Enchanted Evening was the brainchild of West End Director and Choreographer Andrew Wright who brought together musicians, performers, designers and technicians from across the country to put on an evening of musical theatre entertainment for an audience of 700 and to raise money for both the NHS and other health charities (as well as some much needed MT escapism!).

The team were more than happy to help, supporting with both kit and crewing for the event which was a huge success and are very excited about similar projects on the cards for next year!
