"I was devastated and ecstatically happy at the same time."

Music producer Steve Williams, whose credits include Gary Barlow, Lisa Stansfield, The Rolling Stones and Sting, hears his studio through the Trinnov Nova for the first time. The clarity and accuracy of his nearfields have changed how he mixes, and he now has far more confidence in how his work will translate.

"Get one, you won't regret it. Your ego might need a moment, though."

Thank you Steve, and thanks to Trinnov Audio

A peek inside the new Kadillac Studios in Pevey, Switzerland.

The control room is built around a pair of PSI Audio A226-M monitors, soffit mounted either side of the glass. Building the speakers into the wall largely avoids the boundary interference you get from the wall behind a free-standing monitor, which gives a smoother, more consistent low end. Each cabinet is also angled down towards the listening position, so the engineer is listening on axis.

A21-M monitors sit on the meter bridge for close-field checking, so the same PSI character carries from the mains through to the nearfields.

A new monitoring upgrade for Andy Cato (Groove Armada), set up in a back room of his farmhouse ahead of his latest Groove Armada releases.

The new monitoring chain is built around a Trinnov Audio Nova for room correction, paired with PSI Audio A23-M monitors and four AVAA C214 active bass absorbers for tight, controlled low end. Sound Anchor stands and GIK acoustic panels round out the room treatment.

A complete transformation, from raw space to a room Andy can trust for every mix decision.

NOVA just went Atmos 🎧

Trinnov’s new v2.1.3 software update brings Atmos to NOVA. The headline feature is expansion from 6 to 12 channels which allows NOVA to be your monitor controller and optimiser for speaker configurations up to 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, as well as other immersive formats.

We’ve broken down everything in the update, including the upgrade path, the new features, and what it means for your room, on the news section of our website. Link in bio.

It’s business as usual for us

As of this summer, Merging Technologies is fully part of Neumann — and this is where the story continues.

Pyramix, Ovation, Anubis, and Hapi now live here on the Neumann channels, together with the team behind them. Nothing about the products changes: the same engineering, the same support, the same passion for uncompromising sound.

What does change is the scope. Merging’s networked audio expertise now completes the Neumann reference chain — from the microphone all the way to the monitor.

To our long-time Merging community: welcome home. To Neumann followers: we look forward to introducing you to a family of products trusted by classical, broadcast and immersive audio professionals around the world.

Follow along — there is a lot to share.
