His experimental homemade device used flickering light to create vivid illusions, kaleidoscopic patterns and explosions of colour in the mind of the viewer.”

Back to School - Are there going in your lunchbox?

The collection and storage of our data has changed so much in recent years.

Some businesses are ditching cookies and switching to transparent collecting, where you can choose to tell a retailer/service provider what your preferences are, or tell them nothing.

The days of "spying" on your potential clients are over, but the data when you do get it should be far more accurate!

Moving your offline customers to your online world is one of the trickiest things to do!

Many of us have spent the last 2 years building up digital marketing funnels and assets, and at the same time are excited to be returning to in person events in the coming weeks and months.

Getting these new in person contacts into your digital world where they can access all your hard work can be tricky (spelling domain names, email addresses etc) - QR codes are one solution for this.

QR codes (a two dimensional barcode) used to be something for the geeks, but I honestly believe the humble QR code is one of the overall winners of the Covid pandemic!

Now just about everyone knows how to scan a QR code for either a venue or a lateral flow test!

Now people have that skill it's time for businesses to put it to good use.

QR codes can be printed on anything, from books, leaflets, stickers and you can send anyone that scans one to any web address.

Receipts?
Print a QR to go to Facebook to leave a testimonial

Consumables?
Print a QR code to reorder when supplies run low!

Business Cards?
Print a QR code taking people to your LinkedIn profile.

*QR Codes in Practice*
After a successful trial Royal Mail will include QR codes on stamps allowing customers to watch videos and eventually send and receive online messages.

Today's Techie Tip

Connect your offline customers with your online world easily with a QR code, generate one to link to your website, your LinkedIn URL or your page and use it in your print media.

No time to do a print run? Print stickers and attach them to your business cards!

Love this quote!

There are some things in life you clearly shouldn't automate but there are also things that it would seem silly not to.

Automate the boring and the tedious to create more time for fun and family!

Drop us a message if you want to start automating or your automation has come unstuck.

🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀 It ran!!!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

You may remember a while back that I discussed the joke my son and I sent to the AstroPi aboard the International Space Station (we even checked the humidity for them whilst we were there!) - I'll pop a link in the comments...

Well this week we got our certificate for taking part, and even better we got a second certificate to show when it ran, and where in the world the ISS was when our joke was told!

Absolutely brilliant encouragement for children getting involved in coding and STEM.

Sound on!

This is music to my ears, nothing like a bit of on a Saturday morning...

What are your of your first computer?

Mine was a ZX Spectrum 48k, complete with separate tape deck that needed the volume to be exactly right to get anything to load 🤣

Spotting the Google Street View car has raised an interesting question from my daughter...

Me: "So, when we look on Google Maps and we look at the pictures, that's the car that takes the pictures"

"Does he drive quick?"

Me: "No, quite slowly so he can take pictures, why?"

"How does he get there when we want to see the pictures then?"

Silence from the rest of the family....

Penny drops.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love a six year old interpretation of technology, I'd also like to see everyone have their own personal Street View car!
