A few days ago I get a call from a woman (who is definitely not my mother-in-law).

She tells me that she has replaced the ink in her printer but it's not printing correctly.

I ask her if she has removed the tape from the ink cartridge, and she tells me that, yes she has removed the tape.

So I say to... (let's call her Cheryl, which by pure coincidence is the name of my mother-in-law)

I say to Cheryl that I'll call in on Saturday (today) to have a look at the printer to see what I can do.

So today comes and I make the 13 mile round trip, which includes getting stuck in heavy traffic on Mumbles Road, get there, remove the offending ink cartridge to discover that the tape hasn't been removed from it!

I remove the tape and not surprisingly, the printer works perfectly 😂😂

I had a lovely surprise this week. Someone came to the workshop and gave me a bottle of wine as a thank you gift for helping him out a few weeks ago over the phone and email.

He told me that he was grateful for 'not being fobbed off' and he appreciated the time I put in to helping him.

As the saying goes, it's nice to be nice 🙂
