Copied this image from another group. It might look like a fun photo opportunity but that output transformer is about to break down and that can get super expensive.. Then not so much fun. Putting this out there, if you ever see this - turn your amp off and get it fixed properly before using it again. It may look like a faulty valve but more likely its not. Red Plating as its known is excessive current flowing through the valve and it it can be caused by a multitude of problems. Bad bias circuit, screen resistor fault, faulty blocking capacitor, wiring issues etc. Its not good!

Finally got some new signs up!

Just finished repairing a 1963 Vox AC30. Quite a few parts needed changing, mainly resistors and caps and few valves. Not doing anything with it cosmetically other than a light clean, that's for the customer to continue with. So we got this electrically sounding as good as possible. More of a repair rather than a full restoration job. Turned out great. Sounds amazing. PAT tested.

Been donated a new (old) oscilloscope. HP, 4 channel. Its retro but totally functional. We seem to be collecting scopes for fun and I'm not complaining one little bit!. Thanks Tony.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026.

We are closing from the 23rd December and re-opening Jan 5th.

Although I may be popping in to clear some repairs over the holidays, I wont be taking in new jobs during that time.
