2 amazing sessions yesterday at the Tech for Good Hub at TechNExt.

A massive thank you to Jasmine Craggs (Gentoo Group), Gill Hagan-Green (Digital Safety) and Simon Burdus (BornGood) for joining the panel where we explored how for-profits, CICs and public sector organisations can collaborate to tackle digital inclusion in the North East. The conversation made one thing clear: device needs are no longer a blanket problem, and the solutions have to match.

And thank you to everyone who came along for the refurb lab session where we walked through exactly how pre-loved devices get tested, repaired and data-wiped before they go back into the hands of people who need them most.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of being part of the North East Chamber of Commerce Connect in Sunderland.

Hosted by the brilliant team at Sweeney Miller Law, our CEO Simon Howatson opened with a conversation that resonated with the room. Today is World Environment Day. The theme this year is "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future."

Most people don't realise what it actually takes to make a single new laptop.

Sunderland Samba FC just levelled up, big time!

These talented young people and volunteers will now be smashing FA training, safeguarding courses, digital skills sessions and social media for the club, thanks to the BornGood Digital Resilience Fund!

Sunderland Samba FC is a youth-led community football club providing football, volunteering, coaching, youth work and international exchange opportunities. Their work focuses strongly on inclusion, bringing together children, young people, refugees, asylum seekers, international students and local communities.

Young volunteers will also gain experience in digital media, storytelling and content creation through the new kit 💻

St John's Methodist Church in Ashbrooke is a community-facing church with halls and meeting rooms that needed better systems to strengthen how they communicate and organise. These Grade A refurbished laptops will make that possible!

Sunderland Carers Centre supports unpaid carers and young carers across the city every single day. People facing financial pressure, isolation, and digital exclusion who need to stay connected to education, healthcare, and the support systems around them.
