We know telecoms. The challenge was turning that knowledge into training that works in the field.

That’s what we set out to do with our Cellular Network Field Engineer (CNFE) apprenticeship.

Our first Ofsted monitoring visit is an important moment for everyone who has helped build it. Inspectors found that we are making reasonable progress in all four areas reviewed. They recognised our industry knowledge, expert trainers, carefully sequenced and comprehensive curriculum and the support apprentices and employers receive from skills coaches.

For us, the most encouraging part is seeing that work translate into skills apprentices can use.

We’re a new apprenticeship provider, backed by 120 years of telecoms experience and 14 years of apprenticeship experience. This finding gives us a strong foundation and plenty of motivation to keep improving.

A huge thank you to the trailblazer group who developed the apprenticeship standard with a clear goal and purpose in mind. Your work helped create a route into the industry shaped by what the sector needs.

And to our apprentices, employer partners and the whole ITP team: thank you for bringing that purpose to life.

The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) has welcomed the findings of its first Ofsted monitoring inspection as a newly approved apprenticeship provider, marking an important milestone in its mission to help address the telecommunications sector’s skills needs.

This Father's Day, we're celebrating some very special relationships.

From team members sharing memories with the dads who raised them, to those creating memories with their own children and even those who are excitedly preparing to become dads for the first time.
