The ITP Established in 1906, the ITP is the leading membership body for the UK Telecoms Sector.

ITP is a not-for-profit organisation focused on the Professional Development of people within the digital industry. Through apprenticeships, mentoring and training, it is working to address the UK’s digital skills gap to provide a workforce for the future. ITP has a proud heritage that dates back to 1906, when telecommunications was seen as a new industry. Since then, it has become an essential pa

rt of modern life – providing a voice to the professionals who work within the sector. We're delighted to welcome Telecom Infrastructure Partners (TIP) as a new Corporate Partner of the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals.

We’re proud to announce the appointment of Darren Zitren MRICS FITP to the ITP Board.

Darren is Partner and Head of Infrastructure at Cluttons LLP and has spent more than 18 years at the forefront of the UK telecommunications and digital infrastructure sector. A Chartered Surveyor and long-standing Fellow of the ITP, he has advised leading operators and infrastructure providers including Vodafone, Virgin Media O2, Cornerstone, Cellnex, Arqiva and BT Openreach on some of the industry’s most significant network rollout, upgrade and estate management programmes.

With specialist expertise spanning estate strategy, wayleaves, landlord and tenant matters and the Electronic Communications Code, Darren brings a highly valuable perspective on the critical role property and infrastructure play in enabling national connectivity.

Speaking about his appointment, Darren said:

“I am delighted to be joining the Board and look forward to contributing to an organisation that does so much for the telecommunications industry.

I hope to bring a perspective that adds something different to the conversation at senior industry level: the property dimension of digital infrastructure.”

Alongside his industry expertise, Darren is passionate about supporting the next generation of talent through mentoring and apprenticeship development across the sector.
