Someone spilt a drink and it got inside their laptop but they kept using it until it wouldn't work. Then contacted me.
If you spill any type of liquid into your laptop. (Even a small amount )
1. Turn it upside down immediately , so that the keyboard downwards.
2. Turn it off and remove the battery (if it has a removable battery) and mains adaptor.
3. Don't close the lid
4. Put the open laptop in an airing cupboard or somewhere that will absorb moisture quickly.
5. contact me.
Do not try and clean it with a cloth or shake it about hoping the liquid will come out.
Do not try and turn it on a couple of hours later and see if it works or not. (It can take at least a couple of days for liquid to evaporate)
This is just a rough guide on what to do, as everybody's laptop and spillage will be different

The above price is for a full scan of your vehicle for fault codes (DTCs) with Ross-Tech VCDS (VAG-COM) OBD2 tool, and clear any fault codes which are logged in the ECU. An email report of all fault codes found and/or any persistent codes which will not clear can be provided as part of the price

Scan and clear fault codes - £20 (LOG send by email)
Analyse live engine data and codding - £20 extra

The interface will be able to access modules such as Engine, ABS, Airbag, Comfort modules which not all tools can access. Additional services such as reset of service indicators, customisation - adaptation - coding can be done at your own risk (& at extra cost - please ask).
