New jumper!

I know fashions change and some old knitting patterns are so outdated they need to go in the bin, but…

With five sea days on our recent cruise, I decided I might have enough free time to knit another jumper. My mum had an old pattern which I could see some potential in - assuming I could make a few changes to make it more ‘me’…

Using a much softer yarn and with a few alterations to make the cuff longer, the sleeve wider and the overall length shorter - I’m chuffed with how it’s turned out 🤗

Might try it again in a plain colour. Maybe aubergine for autumn?

Now, when’s the jumper-wearing weather coming 🤔

I can’t lie - I was nervous about having a month off work for a family holiday!

But the time went so fast and we saw (and did) so much… Vancouver, Alaska and Hawaii were full of treats - from the landscape and wildlife to the cycling, kayaking and snorkelling. We had a blast.

I’ll be back at my desk tomorrow! Let’s hope I can remember how to turn on my Mac 🙈

Times flies so quickly. I can’t believe it was a year ago today that the Bulls in the City art trail officially opened in Birmingham.

So much work went into the planning, promoting and auction of the bulls - all of which raised an incredible £241,000 for Birmingham Hospice and I was honoured to play a small part in it… from creating the logo to designing fundraising guides, trail maps, tea towels and many more printed things, I enjoyed every minute!

The new roundabout signs for Skin And Hair Removal Clinic are up!

I think this is the hardest project to photograph so far… the four signs are on a busy roundabout in Stourbridge. Getting up close to them for a selfie would probably cause an accident 🫣 but I always pass by on a Monday with my run pals… so today we had a quick stop for a photo opportunity in between passing traffic.

The Bottlebrush and Nigella are in flower and the bees love it.

I’m lucky to work from home and enjoy tea breaks in the garden. Taking five minutes away from the screen to watch these little fellas hard at work is magical 🐝
