RANSOMWARE CONTINUES TO POSE A VERY REAL THREAT - please be vigilant. 400,000 people were targetted on 16 February 2016, the day Locky Ransomware was released, and numbers have continued to rise alarmingly since then. Prevention is the only cure.

PRECAUTIONS:
Do not open emails from any unknown sources. Do not open attachments from unknown sources. If you receive an email from an unknown source ... delete it. Do not open it.

Microsoft recommends that you disable macro security in all Microsoft Office products, such as Access, Excel and Word. Select "Disable all macros without notification" in all applications.

Any removable devices (like memory sticks) and anything attached to your network can be infected from an already infected machine.
