A closer look at some of the repairs on our customer’s 6 Arm Extreme 🔧⚡️
The control wires coming from the flasher PCB are tiny and extremely delicate, so out came the soldering iron! 🫣
Damaged sections were carefully repaired with fresh wire and finished properly using glue-lined adhesive heat shrink.
We also fitted 6 new solid-state relays and repaired several of the single-core feeds running out to the individual lighting sections.
Unfortunately, no pictures of this part — but while working through the ride we also found several failed solder joints on the lamp holders. We suspect these poor connections may have contributed to the relay failures, with some relays welded permanently on and others completely blown to bits! 😬
Plenty of fault finding, soldering and patience later… every channel is back in action and the ride is fully lit once again! 💡🎡⚡️
