We were very sorry to hear the news that PQMS has closed its doors.

PQMS has supported many people and businesses across the industry over the years, and we appreciate that this news may have left some employers and learners with training already booked or upcoming requirements that now need to be rearranged.

At DTN Academy, we would like to offer our support wherever we can.

If your training has been affected, please get in touch with our team. We will do our very best to accommodate existing bookings, find alternative dates and minimise any disruption.

We currently have availability across a range of training, including Street Works / NRSWA, Openreach PIA, Fibre Optics, Health & Safety, Construction and Utilities training.

We are incredibly proud to congratulate our first apprentices on successfully completing their Highway Maintenance Skilled Operative Apprenticeship.

Their achievement reflects months of hard work, commitment and practical skills development. It also marks another important milestone for DTN as we continue to support apprentices, employers and the wider highways sector with high-quality training and development.

A special well done to Carla, our Apprentice Manager, for her dedication, guidance and continued support throughout the apprenticeship journey. Her commitment has played an important part in helping our apprentices reach this achievement.

🚨 Employers – Apprenticeship Funding Is Changing in 2026 🚨

Thinking about taking on an apprentice? From August 2026, apprenticeship funding becomes much more attractive for eligible SMEs.

Businesses may be able to access:
βœ… 100% funded apprenticeship training for eligible under-25 apprentices

βœ… Β£2,000 SME hiring incentive from October 2026 for new apprentices aged 16–24

βœ… Β£1,000 young apprentice payment for eligible 16–18-year-olds, or 19–24-year-olds with an EHCP or care leaver status

βœ… Β£3,000 Youth Jobs Grant for eligible 18–24-year-olds on Universal Credit for 6 months or more

βœ… No employer National Insurance Contributions for apprentices under 25, subject to earnings thresholds

That could mean thousands of pounds in support per apprentice, alongside fully funded training for eligible employers.
