𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

Having access to a device today is about much more than just getting online. It helps people build the confidence to use technology in everyday life — from completing schoolwork and booking medical appointments, to learning new skills and staying connected with friends, family, and their community.

Through the responsible reuse of technology, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 refurbishes donated laptops and passes them on to organisations like 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗟𝗮𝗯, where young people can develop digital skills in inclusive and supportive learning environments.

We are grateful to 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 (𝗚𝗠𝗠𝗛) for their generous donation of laptops. After refurbishment by Community Computers, these devices are now helping individuals access learning opportunities and build the confidence to thrive in a digital world.
A single donated laptop can travel far, opening doors to learning, connection, and new possibilities.

Together, we can turn 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

At just 17, John (name changed) has lived through more than most adults.
Trauma, homelessness, school disruption, and the loss of his father have shaped a childhood full of challenges.

But today marks a new beginning💙
Thanks to the teamwork between 𝗚𝗠𝗠𝗛 and 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, John is receiving a refurbished laptop that will help him:
✨ Start a new page
✨ Access private mental health and bereavement support
✨ Learn new skills at his own pace
✨ Apply for jobs and training like the CSCS card
✨ Take steps towards stability, confidence, and healing

This isn’t just a laptop, it’s a way for him to learn, grow, and build a future that isn’t defined by his past.

Most of all, it shows him something powerful: 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻.

Here’s to new beginnings, new opportunities, and young people finding the strength to rebuild. 💛

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀… 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 ❤️

Louise came to the UK with 15 years of teaching experience. But when her qualifications weren’t recognised, she had to start again, studying full-time to requalify and even taking an interpreter’s certification course so she could work in hospitals and public services.

She had the passion.
She had the skills.
She had the determination.
What she didn’t have was a laptop.

Without one, every assignment meant staying at college late at night. Every online task meant asking her support worker for help.

That changed when 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 and 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 worked together to provide her with a refurbished laptop.

Now Louise can:
💻 Study and submit all coursework online from home
🎓 Attend MS Teams classes
✨ Build her confidence and independence
🚀 Move closer to returning to professional work

She told us, “Thank you so much for making my life easier.”

A single refurbished device didn’t just help her study, 𝗶𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.
