Colessio had rebranded. New identity, new direction… but their website hadn’t checked out. So we checked in.

Custom WordPress build, bespoke scroll animations, individual room pages with their own galleries. A site as refined and unhurried as the hotel itself — the kind that makes you want to book a room just by looking at it.

“I guess you guys aren’t ready for that yet… but your kids are gonna love it.”

There’s something about that quote that perfectly sums up what creativity and new ideas feel like. Creativity can be messy. Sometimes you try something slightly bold and the room goes quiet for a second (cue feedback screech) while everyone works out whether you’re onto something… or just being weird.
There’s a risk with creativity. If it doesn’t feel a bit uncomfortable, it’s probably just another blues riff in B. The interesting stuff usually arrives looking slightly ridiculous and a bit ahead of its time… or just ‘different’.

If you show someone a new idea and you can see the loading wheel spinning behind their eyes. It’s not because they’re stupid (Think McFly… think!). It’s usually because it’s… different.

Most things look a bit daft before they look obvious. The internet did. Social media did (I still don’t care what you had for breakfast). Talking to AI definitely did. Actually that still feels daft… but now half of us are asking it how to fix our lives, write code and find out what Hendrix liked to eat for his tea (wait, that’s just me?).

So if you show someone something and they look at you like you’re trying to explain the flux capacitor… you might be onto something.

(If you haven’t seen 24 Hour Party People… fix that. It’s one of the greatest films ever made.)

Anyway, before I go all Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches… I think about Tony Wilson a lot. He famously said: “This is Manchester. We do things differently here.”

There are 150+ Nettl studios in the UK.
I didn’t choose the name.
But everything else? That’s mine.

My studio in Stirling probably feels a lot closer to Factory Records than it does to a typical web agency.

Personality matters to me. I stamp it on everything I do.
I won’t ask anyone to sign a contract in blood, but I bring that same spirit to every project. No off-the-shelf nonsense. No templates. No beige.

I build bespoke websites where your brand’s personality isn’t hidden behind a theme or buried in a template.

It’s baked into the site... the typography, the layout, the motion, the tiny details people feel before they even realise why.

Hitting the Speed of Light. And It Scores 100.

After a long overdue rebuild, the new Lightways Contractors Ltd. website is live.

They light roads.
They resurface roads.
They install festive lighting for town centres... you know the proper big switch-on moments.

The old site wasn’t exactly shining.

So we dug it up and rebuilt it properly in WordPress: fully custom, built with Etch. No off-the-shelf template nonsense. Just lean, fast, accessible code that does the job without getting in the way.

Did I mention it’s LIGHTening fast? it hits 100 across all Lighthouse scores.

Performance: 100
Accessibility: 100
Best Practices: 100
