Taleka is delighted to have enabled Falkirk FC to host their first-ever virtual AGM, using Cisco Webex Events. Covid restrictions prohibited Falkirk’s usual face to face meeting but last night over 120 shareholders joined the directors and team managers at the virtual AGM to receive an update on the status of the club.

After hopes of almost guaranteed promotion were dashed when the season was brought to an abrupt end, the club was pleased to be able to update the attendees with their positive news as matches restart.

Taleka facilitated a seamless experience for all involved using Cisco Webex Events.

Behind the scenes, Taleka set up the boardroom and the managers room for video conferencing and enabled a Q&A session hosted by an external journalist.

On the night the Taleka team coordinated the panellists, presentations, video content and the Q&A as well as being on hand in case of any technical issues.

The event went without a hitch.

Gary Dean, Chairman of FFC said:
“Hosting an AGM in these times was a real challenge and the team at Taleka stepped up to help us. The quality of their planning and ex*****on ensured the meeting ran smoothly and the technology worked really well. We have had great feedback from many of those who joined online, with some suggesting the format worked better than the traditional face to face gatherings. In fact I think we managed to engage with more shareholders and this will form part of our engagement strategy going forwards.”

The Taleka Team are unbelievably proud and honoured to have been involved in the COVID-19 Domestic and Family Violence Virtual summit. Over 120 participants, and attendance by The Premier, the Minister Di Farmer, Kay McGrath, Dame Quentin Bryce, Bob Atkinson and many other dignitaries and presenters. Cisco and Telstra provided the tech and the network and so much support in the backend.

It was a highly emotional, confronting (due to the content), high stress couple of weeks to pull it all together and we are so proud of what our pulled off. So many of our amazing team were involved over the last couple of weeks with the preparation pre event and support during the event, but special mention must go to our wonderful Rebecca Weir who was the Facilitator and virtual host - she put her heart and soul into making sure the event went off without a hitch.

Minister Farmer said the summit demonstrated how people could adapt through technology when faced with a starkly different landscape in which to operate. She thanked Telstra, Cisco and Taleka for their support to ensure stakeholders from across Queensland could participate.
