Groundhog Day again yesterday for the businesses and residents of Scotgate, as the entire road flooded once again. 😔🌧️

Several houses and businesses came very close to being flooded, but thankfully many of us had sandbags ready this time.

Drains were once again clogged with grass cuttings and debris. If it wasn’t for a local resident and myself wading out to clear the drains while it was happening, ACR Computers would have definitely flooded.

It was an early start today, clearing as many drains as possible and sweeping up a huge amount of debris left across the paths and around the drains before opening the shop.

Hopefully, everything will be okay over the Bank Holiday weekend 🤞🤞🤞

Please, if as many people as possible could report blocked drains via FixMyStreet, it may help get this ongoing problem the attention it needs.

We may all prefer to be unwinding on holiday, whether by the pool or on the beach, but returning to work this week has been made truly enjoyable by our wonderful customers. Their warm welcomes and kind words about our break have meant a lot. And with a walk to work this beautiful, it’s hard to complain.
