Tomorrow (10th October) is World Mental Health Day 💚

This year's theme: Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change, highlights the importance of listening to and learning from the experiences of others.

At Converge, we recognise that mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health. Creating supportive workplaces starts with open conversations, empathy and ensuring people feel heard, valued and respected.

We're also proud to support CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), helping to raise awareness, encourage important conversations and provide support for those who may be struggling.

Whether it's checking in with a colleague, making time to listen, or encouraging honest conversations about mental health, small actions can have a lasting impact.

🐶 This week some kind members of our team provided more doggie donations for our local charity of choice, Brighter Days Rescue.

Dropping those of at the charity, we saw once again what an amazing job they do to take care of and rehome dogs some of which have had really difficult lives, with stories too harrowing to tell here.

We were met with some loving, playful and friendly dogs, who were overjoyed to see us! If you're looking to add a dog to your family, book a visit to Brighter Days. They're located a couple of miles from Penkridge in Staffordshire.

We're also proud to be within touching distance of our fundraising for the charity - £9.935 raised of our £10,000 target!

It's been high octane fundraising at Converge HQ 🎮

Our annual Mario Kart World Charity Championship saw some of our best gamers go wheel-to-wheel to help raise funds for Family Fund who do wonderful work supporting families who care for disabled and seriously ill children.

Special thanks to our master of games Jack Thomas for making it happen and to this year's winner Asher Tomlinson. He doesn't drive this fast on public roads we promise. 🚓

We're fortunate that our Stafford HQ is not far from Cannock Chase, a beautiful National Landscape that's a mixture of lowland heathland, pine and deciduous forests, and ancient oak wood-pasture. It was once declared a royal hunting forest by William the Conqueror in 1086 for deer, wild boar, and wolves!

The wolves may be gone, but a team of volunteers from Converge have this week been busy weeding a newly planted plot. Hard work yes, but their local pride in the area more than made up for those sore muscles the next day.

Thank you to Forestry England for providing the opportunity to help.

Giving something back...

That's what volunteering is all about and why our staff get 3 days of leave to volunteer each year. This week's session with Signposts Services, a community fundraising project run by Rising Brook Community Church in Stafford is really making a difference.

Our volunteers did much needed gardening work for three houses. One is home to a couple with dementia, one houses an elderly couple no longer able to garden themselves and the other was for a supported living project. Everyone, regardless of circumstances deserves to live with dignity.

Much respect to Andrew McGovern, Lisa Massey, Martin Doughty and Shane Cheers from Converge along with Mark Corson from Signposts for giving your time and effort. 👏
