We had a visit from Clare at this week, who came along to film and interview Ben and Drew for a special success story!

Drew originally joined us as part of his T Level industry placement, and after successfully completing his course, we’re delighted to now have him as an official member of the Digital Defined team! 🙌

It’s been brilliant watching him develop his skills and confidence, and we’re proud to be part of his journey.

If you’re thinking about taking on a T Level student, it’s definitely worth considering. Placements can be a great way to support someone at the start of their career while also bringing in fresh ideas, new skills and an extra pair of hands into your business.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the Band of Builders Charity Golf Day, hosted by , & ⛳

Band of Builders does incredible work supporting members of the construction industry through life’s toughest challenges, providing practical, emotional and financial support when it’s needed most.

It was fantastic to see so many businesses coming together to raise money and awareness for such an important cause.

Google has updated its review policies for Google Business Profiles, and some common review tactics are now being classed as review manipulation.

This includes:
👉️ Asking customers to mention staff members by name
👉️ Only asking selected customers for reviews
👉️ Encouraging reviews in a way that feels pressured or forced

A lot of businesses have used these tactics for years without thinking twice, so this update may catch people out.

Will Google perfectly police every review? Probably not 🤷‍♂️

But they are continuing to tighten their approach around fake and manipulated reviews, so it’s worth making sure your review process is compliant moving forward.

The safest strategy is simple:
Ask genuine customers for honest feedback and let the reviews speak for themselves.
