📰 News Flash 📰 Exciting times ahead here at St Paul’s Centre!
Building Tomorrow’s Vision Today: St Paul’s Centre building extension started yesterday (May 12th) with a photo shoot.
Maureen Aspey chair of Directors thanked those in attendance.
This project has been supported by Spennymoor Area Action Partnership (please note as from 1st April 2025, the AAP has become your Local Network, for more information please visit the Local Network webpage https://www.durham.gov.uk/article/1960/About-Local-Networks)
The project has also been supported by Towns & Villages Budget Grant: Members Towns and Villages grant and Neighbourhood budget grant, as well as The Benefact Trust, The National Lottery, Veolia Environmental Trust, Damascus Road Sound and Lighting, St Pauls Centre Foodbank team and many wonderful people of this community who have given donations, held fundraising events and been behind us every step of the way.
We hand over the building of the extension to Vest Construction and look forward to celebrating once the works are completed.
St Paul’s Centre has been a safe place and light for so many. The journey began in 2008 when the Rev Linda Gough had a wonderful vision of transforming the church hall into a community centre for all to use. Now run by a board of Trustees the vision and the story will continue, and we pray and hope that this place will continue to be a place where ‘All are, and will be welcomed’ both now and in the years ahead. This evening we have been in Jubilee Park, for Spennymoor Town Council’s VE Day 80th anniversary celebration. We were required to provide and operate an audio solution for the event. Contact us to discuss your next event requirements and book Damascus Road ⚫️

Today we have installed a full Audio Visual system for this multi use hall.

The system is designed to be as flexible as possible. Allowing the users to be able to show a DVD one minute, or have a conference the next, with both Lapel and Handheld microphones, or just simply play music via Bluetooth.
