Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that wellbeing is not one-size-fits-all.
For people living with low vision, blindness, or neurodiverse needs, everyday environments can often be overwhelming, inaccessible, or isolating - and that can have a real impact on mental health.
At VisionAid, we believe accessibility is about more than technology. It’s about dignity, independence, confidence, and feeling included.
This month, we’re encouraging businesses, educators, workplaces, and communities to ask:
“Are we creating environments where everyone can truly thrive?”
Sometimes the smallest changes make the biggest difference:
• Accessible digital content
• Clear communication
• Flexible ways of working and learning
• Sensory-aware spaces
• Patience, understanding, and empathy
Mental wellbeing grows where inclusion and kindness exists.
