Due to the recent budget changes, I will be updating my prices. I haven’t increased my hourly rate or call-out charge since before Covid, but with rising taxes and the overall increase in living and business costs, it’s now necessary to make some adjustments to keep things sustainable.

From January 2026, the new rates will be:
• Call-out (including the first hour): £65 + VAT per hour
• Day rate: £275 + VAT (7-hour working day)
• Price work: Quoted individually based on labour time and material costs at the time.

Just to clarify, the hourly rate is not what I personally take home — it covers all of the company’s operating expenses, such as insurance, vehicle and equipment costs, and ongoing training. It also reflects the experience and qualifications of the engineer carrying out the work.

I’m not looking to get rich — simply to keep the business running smoothly and maintain a comfortable standard of living. My prices remain competitive, and I continue to use only high-quality equipment. As always, you get what you pay for: pay once, and it’s done properly
