Some website projects lead you into a fascinating story. The John Russell RA website has certainly been one of them.

A celebrated artist of Georgian Britain, Russell was renowned for his pastel portraits and worked for the Royal Family. His curiosity also took him beyond portraiture to detailed studies of the Moon.

It’s been a pleasure to create a website exploring his life and work, with an online gallery, an artist timeline and an invitation for owners to share Russell artworks and the stories behind them. There are still works out there to discover, making this something of an art treasure hunt.

There’s a book on the way too, adding another chapter to this fascinating project.

JCS are a local company specialising in street furniture, civil works and groundworks, alongside crane hire and haulage.
Kango Digital have been working on a refreshed website to showcase their services and projects, and make it easier for customers to get in touch.

Here’s a practical example of how AI can help solve complex operational problems when it’s combined with critical thinking and a clearly defined goal.

AI works best when there is a specific process to improve, a clear outcome to achieve and human oversight guiding the solution.

One of the challenges for Longs Packaging was keeping website stock levels aligned with its P21 inventory system.

To solve this, I built a practical stock-management workflow connecting P21, a custom dashboard, Google Sheets and WooCommerce.

The customer can now:
- Export current stock from P21 as an Excel spreadsheet
- Adjust quantities to reflect the stock allocated to online sales
- Upload the updated file through a simple dashboard
- Automatically push the changes to Google Sheets and update WooCommerce

There’s still a small amount of manual input, but the full stock update—covering more than 1,500 products—can now be completed in around two minutes.

Codex helped me build the Google Sheets script and app dashboard (which I then hosted on my servers, turning the initial idea into a reliable working solution. The result is a straightforward system that works well and has already saved the client thousands of pounds in development and ongoing administration costs.

This is a great example of using today’s AI capabilities in a practical, positive way: not replacing expertise, but helping turn a clearly defined idea into an effective solution much faster.

Getting the layout right took plenty of iteration—sometimes the simplest projects take a lot longer than expected.

Nice little wedding site for long time client "Marc de Groot". Marc has employed the services of a well know Ibiza marketing agency and this site was developed to their brief.

I think Wordpress still has it place at the moment although we are not that far off from a massive shift in the way websites will be developed.

Really pleased with the finished web site from long term clients Lisa and Mark Wright and their amazing self-catering Gite business - Le Logis Du Pressoir.

The build was helped with very clear and concise direction with copy and images provided, enabling the finished site to look fantastic and help drive more direct bookings.

Le Logis du Pressoir is a former vineyard, set in over five acres of secluded, wooded grounds in the Loire-Anjou-Touraine National Park.
