AirPlay is Apple's wireless streaming technology that lets users send video, audio, and other content.
Two critical vulnerabilities (CVE-2025-24252 & CVE-2025-24132) in Apple’s AirPlay tech have been discovered, allowing attackers to remotely hijack AirPlay enabled devices without any user interaction.
This could lead to serious security risks like espionage, ransomware delivery, infiltration, and surveillance even enabling eavesdropping through your device’s microphone.
What can you do to protect yourself?
Turn off AirPlay when not in use (through Quick Access on Apple devices).
Avoid public Wi-Fi.
