Hello lovely people! It’s been quite some time (2 years!!) since I’ve posted on here, but I return with some new nature-inspired digital art! 🤩🥳🎨

Having worked on some previous art (check out “floral fantasy” on my page! 🌸), I’ve realised that I love reimagining characters with my own artistic style – puzzle-piecing photography and graphics with vibrant colours. At the beginning of May, I had a real craving to get back into creating some surreal digital art; I didn’t quite know where to start, all until I found .draws’ challenge – what perfect timing! I felt very inspired by Elby’s mermaid artwork (slide 3) and knew this was the character I was going to “draw” in my style 🧜‍♀️🎨 𝗦𝗢 – 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲…

Character design and concept art are areas I’ve been interested in for many years, and I am in awe of folk who create such magic! ✨ This is why these art challenges are so inspiring and helpful for me – I get to discover new artists, hone my skills by reimagining their characters, share these reimagined pieces with them, and see how others have also used creativity to reimagine these characters. I encourage other creatives to also get involved with these challenges 💫

Hello all! ☀️🌸

I’m releasing an original song this summer and am looking to create a music/dance video for it. I was wondering if 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 for this?

My idea is to project a video of rolling clouds onto a wall (and consequently me) while I dance in front of said wall. I’m also open to projecting a static image. So an 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 would be brilliant!

I’m very open to being DIY and experimenting with tech for this, so if anyone has any thoughts/recommendations, I’m all ears!

Hello hello everyone! I hope you’re all well and having an awesome week☀️

I just wanted to quickly hop on here to say a massive 🌸THANK YOU🌸 to everyone who has contributed to my “An Explorer’s Guide to Sonic Earth” project – yay! 🥳

It’s been an absolute pleasure seeing how each of you hear the sounds of nature, and learning just how much you’ve enjoyed taking part in the project and getting out into nature🌱 Nature really is so magical✨ I highly recommend going for walks in nature; slowing down and really acknowledging the things I hear, see and feel on these walks has truly brought me so much happiness and peace over the past few months🙏🌸🌼

I’ve also loved chatting with each of you about your responses for this project! Learning more about your audio-visual experiences of the natural world, what sounds you’ve heard, and how you’ve gone about visually responding to these sounds. It’s been so fascinating to see that there are some similarities between these contributions too… 🎨🎶

So, in short – a HUGE thank you! Oh, and keep ya eyes peeled👀

Back in September 2022, I received exciting news that I’d been selected as a Mentee on Creature Conserve's Mentorship Program 2022/23 – yay! 🥳 Since then, I’ve been going on more nature adventures and working on some pretty cool creative things...

…and I’d love to learn how YOU experience nature! 🌸

AIM? To curate an international collection of audio-visuals, representing individual human experiences of natural sounds.

WHY? To better understand and encourage human-nature connections.

🌸 HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED? 🌸

All you need to do is: visualise how you experience the sounds of nature, using mark-making methods. Whether it’s an entire sound map of your surroundings or individual visual recordings, this project is entirely open to how YOU experience the sounds of nature! 🌼🌍🎶

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO:
🎨 Use a plain canvas
🎨 Use a ballpoint pen, felt tip, or pencil
🎨 Photograph / Scan your audio-visuals in good lighting & high resolution (300 dpi & in either PNG / JPG / JPEG format)

It’s been quite a while(!) since I have posted anything on here, however I return with exciting news!…

🎨🎶✨𝗠𝗬 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗪𝗘𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘!!✨🎶🎨

I have been working very hard over the past few months (+ a bit more!) to create a website which truly reflects the work I love to do and the work I hope to continue doing. I am very VERY excited to say I now have a website I am super happy with and which showcases the breadth of work and skills I have garnered over my past creative years. Really excited to share this with you all!

This work includes all things graphic design and music-related: creative direction, motion graphics, film, music production (inc. custom music + vocals), photography, music video work, app + product design, immersive installation art, audio-visuals, multimedia art…
