W I S D O M
Not only horses...
Yes, believe it or not, I do photograph other things too. And when it comes to people, I'm not really interested in models boasting their perfect bodies, or princesses in flowing dresses pretending to be elves.
If I photograph people, I am fascinated by REAL people. Their faces, their stories, their lives.
While travelling through Namibia, I spent two days with Himba women, accompanying them in their daily activities, observing, talking and photographing.
What struck me most was not how different our lives were, but how much we actually had in common: Different cultures, different traditions, different worlds. And yet, we were not so different after all.
This is one of my favourite portraits from those two days.
And I've been thinking that perhaps it's time to show you a little more than just my fiery horses. There are other subjects, places and encounters that have deeply influenced the way I see the world – and the way I photograph it.
I'd love to share some of those images and stories with you.
What do you think? Would you like to see more of this side of my photography?
And don't worry, the horses are not going anywhere! They will always be here, and they will remain my main subject.
