Brainbox Studios are backing the boro for the City of Culture Bid 2029 and we’re incredibly proud to have played a part by creating the brand and campaign assets behind it.

We love Boro. It’s a place that’s helped shape us both as people and as creatives.

It’s a culture of hard work, of keeping going, of tenacity. It’s a culture of people who know how to have a laugh, make light of the dark and a culture of people who are authentic, full of creativity and ingenuity.

Songs are composed here. Trophies are won. Shows are written. Visual art is made. Boro is teeming with potential and voices that need to be heard.

The culture of the people of Middlesbrough isn’t what you see on the news, or read on Facebook. It’s people who would give you the shirt off their backs, who want to talk to you, tell you their story and make you a cuppa. You would always get a smile in boro, you would always find a helping hand.

Over the past few weeks we’ve been following incredible artists Hazel 🤩 Illustrator, Muralist and Community Artist 🌈Abstract Art Painting & Sculpture 🌈 as they transformed blank walls into something the whole community can enjoy.

One of the best parts has been the response from the locals. So many stopped by for a chat, kept us fuelled with ice creams or simply told us how much they love seeing the murals come to life.

As storytellers, these are the moments we love capturing. Creativity has a way of bringing people together and changing the feel of a place. It’s been a privilege to document this one for Creative Factory and had far too much fun getting a ride in the cherry picker 😂

It’s always class to see your work in print. The action plan was designed for FORGED as a practical resource to support artists in the Tees Valley in exploring how public art is created and experienced.

What a beautiful shoot this was with at their deep listening session on Coatham Marshes in partnership with &

We loved being immersed in the experience with everyone and it allowed us to capture some really organic photos of how it felt for those participating.

After recording some incredible audio of the marshes we danced in the rain to a mix of our natural soundscape.

It was such a peaceful and joyful experience that showed how amazing and important these natural resources are for communities. Get out and enjoy them respectfully 🐦‍⬛🌾💚

A little collab we’ve done with the awesome - we bootlegged the old ICI logo and repurposed it. A nod to Teesside’s chemical history and the landscape Industrial Coast has grown out of.

The white version has already sold out but word is there’s a black version on its way for all you goths out there. Cop one before they go! All profits are going to 🙌
