We've just refreshed some of our stock and decided to change the colour of our Ruark R410 to the charcoal black with walnut grille, which looks just as fabulous as it sounds.
There are four colour options currently avaliable - charcoal, fused walnut, soft grey and the Limited Edition 40th anniversary oak veneer with black grille.
If you'd like to hear it, just pop in and ask. 🎶

We've expanded our range of Meze Audio headphones and now have the Silva model available for demonstration (shown here with Steve). They're wired, open-back, over-ear, self-adjusting and super comfortable, with a frequency response of 5-30k Hz and an impedance of 42 Ohms. Come in and hear how good they are!

And our final post of the day goes to Ruark Audio who are releasing 2 new products in the autumn - their new Talisman floorstanding speakers and the R710 music console. This is similar in design to the smaller R610, with a host of streaming and radio options, but the R710 has an integrated CD player, headphone jack and more than double the power 😃. We're looking forward to getting this in the shop!

At the end of our day at the North West Audio Show, we went to the top floor to visit Ant and Ian who gave a great demonstration (in rather difficult/hot conditions), and despite the fan running at full blast we could all still hear the differences between the cables. They went through Chord's cable evolution of various insulators and aray technology which have a discernable impact on sound dynamics and detail.
Then we heard the V-link speaker links designed for bi-wirable speakers. These are out soon and may possibly be the most cost-effective system upgrade you can make this year!

Building on the success of their AE1 40th Anniversary speakers, Acoustic Energy have created the AE2-40 - a big brother, limited edition speaker designed to have all the wonderful sonic characteristics of its smaller sibling but on a bigger scale to suit larger rooms.

At Cranage, AE chose to partner the AE2-40 with the fabulous Rega Mercury/Solis pre/power combination to show how capable these speakers are.
