We're hiring Business Development Managers in our new Aberdeen office.

You'll have your own protected territory and own the full sales cycle, from first conversation through to close. There are no thresholds and no caps - you earn from your very first deal, and your commission grows alongside your customer base.

The role is a good fit for someone who already knows how to prospect, run discovery, and close complex B2B deals. A background in telecoms, IT or cyber security is useful but far from essential. What tends to matter more is that you're self-directed, comfortable working autonomously, and motivated by bringing in new business.

Some companies cap what their salespeople can earn. We don't.

At Focus Group, high performance is rewarded, not limited. Our BDM's earn commission from their first deal, with no cap on what they take home and a strong share of GP on every sale. The product portfolio is broad enough that there's always something relevant to lead with, whether you're talking to a small business or a multi-site customer.

Last week, members of our Women's Network at Focus House came together for a workshop with Clinical Hypnotherapist and EFT Practitioner, Sophie Morris, from The Water Meadow Practice.

There was a brilliant mix in the room. Women from all corners of the business, all at different points in their careers and lives, which made for some really honest conversations.

Sophie walked us through Survival Self Preservation: how our brains are wired to protect us in stressful moments, and how we can start to rewire those responses. We then looked at how to bring those tools into the working day.

It was a really interesting morning and a great opportunity to connect with just a few of the amazing women behind the business.

Sophie left us with a relaxation audio to try out at home and we are looking forward to welcoming her back soon for an intro into tapping.

Something new for 2026 🍋

Our first ever Elevate Reward trip took place in Sorrento, three days on the Amalfi Coast for a very special group of award winners from across our operational teams, from Customer Loyalty and People & Culture, to Facilities, Finance and many more, who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in their roles.

We kicked off with a stop at a local limoncello factory (research purposes only, naturally), explored the stunning island of Capri, and got stuck into a traditional Italian cookery course that was as competitive as it was delicious.

Our COO, Matt Halford, who hosted the trip alongside Chief Technology Officer, Vicki Rishbeth, said "Getting to spend quality time with this group, who make a real difference to our customers and colleagues, was a genuine honour. Great people, great conversations, great spritz (!) and a beautiful setting that did all of us justice."

Congratulations to everyone who earned their place. Saluti!

Party in the city when the heat is on... WELCOME TO MIAMI 🌴

Congratulations to our 2025 Sales Club crew! This year's incentive took the team Stateside, and the Magic City did not disappoint. Five days at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach. Waterfront dinners on the Miami River. Nights at E11EVEN and LIV and of course, obligatory sunshine, delicious food and great company.

Every person on this trip earned their place through hard work, consistantly raising the bar and performing at the highest level throughout FY25.

Here’s to the 2025 Sales Club winners and to everyone already pushing for 2026 - lets go!

What a day! Our squad brought everything to the Southern Regional tournament at the Bobby Moore Sports Hub and came away as runners-up, and we couldn't be prouder.

Not only did our team secure a place in the National Finals at St George's Park later this year, they also took home the 'Spirit of the Tournament' award. Awarded to the team that lives the values of The Big Goal: respect for the ref, respect for the opposition, and energy from first whistle to last handshake.

While football is certainly the hook for this initiative, its is not the end game. The Big Goal raises sponsorship that funds places on the Street Soccer Foundation programme, giving young people facing homelessness a real pathway forward.

Well done lads! See you in at the National Finals 🙌
