Day one of IBC2026 complete! 🎬
Despite the usual travel bumps (and plenty of rain) the Altered Images team made it to Amsterdam for the first day of the show
There’s always a question around how busy IBC will be, particularly from a UK customer perspective, but attendance already appears to be at least on par with previous years.
Today’s conversations covered everything from the latest Avid Media Composer developments and NEXIS to remote access, security, automation and, of course, AI-powered tools.
For anyone exploring alternatives to HP Anyware, there’s been plenty of interest in what Reemo has to offer. Visit the team on stand 8.C75d
Something a little different is also attracting attention at Strada. Head to stand 7.A60 to explore remote access for editing workflows—without relying on the cloud.
Our partners at Glookast are also showcasing an exciting development on stand 7.D04: gkx, their new AI-native media-processing and orchestration platform.
Users can describe a workflow in plain language and gkx will compose and run it wherever the media lives—on your own hardware, in the cloud or even within a fully air-gapped environment. It can support both Glookast and third-party tools while automatically responding when something goes wrong.
Finally, a big thank you to Charlotte, Mark and the team for hosting a calmer end to a busy day, with a scenic boat trip through Amsterdam! 🛥️
See you on the show floor for day two!
