This is one of the best internet providers in the United Kingdom that enjoy nearly 30 % of the market share. It has been growing its coverage over the years, and if you’re your looking for a truly unlimited internet connection that is great for gaming, movie streaming or business running then Sky internet is a great choice. But before making up your mind do examine these the pros and cons associated with this internet provider.

Pros

Extensive coverage

Sky net has covered more than 17 million homes in the United Kingdom, and they are expanding their services every day to more people. They have also offered their customers thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots available within their network coverage areas which they can access through Sky Wi-Fi application.

Valuable features

Their internet security software and sky broadband shield is one extra valuable feature which protects the customers from malware attacks and cybercriminals when they’re online. It’s also helpful to parents who are concerned with what their children are accessing online as they can be able to limit them on children unfriendly sites.

Perfect for gamers/ Movie streaming

If you love gaming and streaming 3d and 4k videos, then sky broadband will give you the best experience. This broadband provider is excellent than many other internet providers.

Short contracts

Many ISP providers have a contract with their customers that goes between 18 to 24 months but on sky you sign up for 12 months contract only both on fibre package and on broadband package

Truly unlimited downloads

Some of the broadband providers in the broadband world are misusing the term unlimited, however, on the case of sky, they have truly kept their word. They have real unlimited internet usage which doesn’t have any hidden usage caps or presence of traffic management. This means you’re free to download as much content as possible without worrying of penalties and hidden costs

Cons

Their exists others with higher speeds

They might have the speeds of fibre services, but there are other internet providers who offer higher speeds such as virgin media who have 200 Mbps.

They charge installation fee

When installing the fibre unlimited, you will be charged £39.

Speeds vary

Speeds also vary depending on your location and routers are affected by the home environment as well

Prices may go up during your contract

Prices are subject to change during your contract, and only the company can determine that while the customers have no influence on that

Unlimited service is not available everywhere

For those individuals outside sky network, you can only subscribe to Sky broadband connect alone. You will also face another setback of network management policy which is similar to traffic management.

Public Wi-Fi is limited too

Compared to BT which has more than 5 million hotspots in the whole country sky has few ones not exceeding 30,000

This company is possessed by Associated British Foods (ABF).it deals with men, women, and kids clothes. They also have home products such as beddings and beauty products as well. Primark has over 290 stores in the United Kingdom some located at Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff, Aberdeen and London. Internationally they have stores in Europe and USA. Just like other retailers, Primark doesn’t own any factory that makes these products but works with suppliers who deliver the products.

Pros

The management within the stores is friendly and approachable. When you have an issue as a customer, you can easily access the store manager

When you visit any of their stores, the staff are friendly and very helpful

They have a very decent clothing line, not those dull old fashioned clothes that you will feel they aren’t meant for the 21st century.

They have a reasonable price compared to the quality of clothes they sell.

Their stores are well organized in a way you are able to access everything you want. They are also tidy and clean.

Cons

Most of their fitting rooms are small in size and it’s just a mess

The minimum wage might have affected the stores since there aren’t enough cashiers to attend to customers hence creating long lines

The management has poorly managed some of the stores

You might find an item has no tag which may lead to customers speculating for the price

In most of their stores finding a category of products has been a bit difficult you might be forced to walk while searching

These large sizes such as ###L and XXL are few in most of their stores

This Yorkshire based internet provider is one of the major giant leading internet providers in the whole of United Kingdom. Its huge market share signals quality and reliability among the UK population. Plusnet just like any other internet provider has both merits and demerits associated with the services they offer. So it’s important to evaluate all the pros and cons before making your final decision.

Pros

The broadband plans are unlimited

All Plusnet home-based plans have no limit to how much internet you can use in a day or a month. You can stream an unlimited number of movies, download an unlimited number of series and surf all day as you wish. Note traffic management applies.

They have the best UK upload speeds

The upload speed is the key to how fast you can send a video or any other file via the internet. Plusnet offers customers up to 76 Mbps upload speeds which is the highest compared to all other ISP providers.

Broadband + Phone = free activation

When you pick a package that has both the internet and a phone plan you’re entitled to free activation. You also get in addition a broadband router.

Good customer care

Plusnet has one of the best customer support services you will ever get compared to other internet providers in the United Kingdom.By calling customer support your charged nothing. No wonder they have worn several awards in customer service category.

Availability of a line rental saver

This sole purpose is to help customers save money when they pay 12 months upfront other than each month.

Prices of packages are pocket-friendly

Compared to other internet providers in the market Plusnet has very cheap packages in most of their plans. They also offer free McAfee security software to keep your online presence secure. Orange is a competitor.

Cons

Prices vary with location

For those customers in less urbanised areas they usually tend to pay more for the broadband. For those people in populated towns and major cities, they usually pay less.

Traffic management applies

Plusnet it’s not 100% unlimited since they have traffic management system. Instead of slowing the speeds it slows the online activity and individuals who play games, movie stream, and video chats are affected.

You require line rental if you want a broadband only package

Irrespective of whether you use landline still you will have to pay line rental which adds the monthly cost for the broadband.

An activation fee is applicable on broadband only

Broadband only packages is quite expensive since you even require to pay an activation fee too.

Relocation attracts a charge

If you decide to relocate from your older house to a new house, Plusnet will charge you extra cash by moving your internet to your new home.

Long contract

18 months contract is too long compared to other providers who just require 12 months contract or even lesser months.
