We have page numbers to help you through the script...This could save you hours and hours of work, sourcing and making custom made sound effects for your the show. It's available to hire. Well that's a rap on what has been another incredible journey with Manor Operatic Society, It's such a privilege to direct, produce and create the effects for these wonderful shows along side my partner Linda Kelly and daughter Evie Bradford.

: Please show your appreciation to Richard (left) & Chris (right) who run the sound & lighting for The Velvet Burlesque on show day!
I've worked with both these wonderful people for many years now, and can depend upon them for equipment hire, set-up, and operation. You may not have seen much of them on show day as they are generally hidden away in the tech booth at the rear of the theatre, but without them, the venue would be very dark, and very quiet!

As I hire our main theatre venue in Sheffield as a bare space; Richard and Chris load into the theatre during the week prior to the show to bring in and set-up every bit of sound and lighting kit that you see and hear at the show. I also send performer MP3's and sound/lighting/all technical requirements, plus the background music, etc. over to them ready to be programmed into the system for show day.

On show day, we go through extensive technical checks and rehearsals to make sure everything is programmed as it should be, and the whole experience is as seamless as it can be. (There's also a lot of chatter on the headsets and walkie-talkies during the show, which can be very amusing too).

It's an absolute pleasure to have Richard and Chris on my show crew - finding trustworthy & reliable people to work with is absolutely imperative, and I am so proud to have them with us on TEAM VB! ✨
