We will be closing at 12PM on September 5th 2024 due to the Tour of Britain cycle race coming through Pen*stone. This will be causing temporary road closures and diversions so access to and from the office will be impacted. Due to this we have made the decision to close the office for the afternoon and enjoy the event. We will still respond to emergencies but response time may be delayed due to the traffic conditions. We are open as usual on Friday with our regular Friday opening times of 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

A warning to Shell Energy Customers.

We have had several customers contact us, telling us someone from Talktalk has contacted them about the move from Shell Energy to Talktalk. These people have then tried to gain access to their computer by directing them to a website to download remote access software eg Ultraviwer or Anydesk.

This is a scam in which they will install RAT( Remote Access Tool) which will allow them to see what you are doing and possibly steal banking or financial information.

Never let anyone who phones you have access to your computer even if they seem legit. Always phone the company back on a number you have not a number they have given you in the phone call. Remember no will contact you telling you have an issue with your computer or internet. If you think you have a problem you will need to contact them directly.

If you get a text message from the Police today ( 24th Nov) or tomorrow asking you to register on Action Fraud this is probably correct.

A large number of peoples phone numbers have been found by the Fraud Police but unfortunately they have not gotten any names or addresses.

If you get one of these text messages and you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us and we will help.

We are moving office! It is with great excitement we are moving to a new office. We have been in our current location for nearly 10 years and have decided we need a change and windows!

We are moving to the Fairfield Business Park on Green Road which many of you will know as the old David Browns site. We are aiming at working from there from Monday 17th October.

The new office is fantastic and more suited to our requirements. If you have any problems finding us our phone number will remain the same 01226812000.

Dangerous plugs

We have come across a dangerous new type of plug. These plugs are usually sold with cheap Chinese equipment. We have been hearing stories about these new plugs that are dangerous but not actually seen one in real life until now.

What makes these plugs dangerous is the shielding on the earth. Normally a UK BS1363/A plug does not have any shielding on the earth, these new plugs do have the BS1363/A stamp but they are definitely no compliant. When fully plugged in the earth will not connect.

To make it worse on the one we have it is wired the wrong way around L to N and N to L which means if you have an internal fuse the blow the unit will still be live!

If you have any of these plugs stop using them immediately and replace.

Good morning,

We are reciving lots of reports about poor internet and services not working. Unfortunately this is affecting many of our customers.

This is being cause by something called a ddos( distributed denial of service) attack.

Unfortunately for the companies involved this is a difficult situation to be in and they are working hard to resolve the issue.
