🚨HUGE NEWS🚨 Mina aligns with leading UK, fuel, EV and business expense payment company, Allstar Business Solutions Ltd!

This alignment follows our recent acquisition by parent company, FLEETCOR, and through joining the two businesses we will unite our efforts by blending the ingenuity of a startup with the market-leading capabilities of Allstar to offer a range of EV charging payment solutions under the name of Allstar Chargepass®.

Alongside the launch, former Mina CEO, Ashley Tate, will move into his new role as Managing Director of Allstar Chargepass in the UK. Ash will be responsible for the rollout of this new offering, bringing his expertise in creating industry-leading payment technology at Mina.

So from today, you'll notice less of the Mina brand, and more of Allstar as we take the necessary steps to fully blend together - think of it as "We're moving home" as we continue our journey as part of Allstar. 🔌 ➡️ ⭐️

The Government's Advisory Electricity Rate will increase from 9 ppm to 10 ppm from today... but it's still not fit for purpose 🪫

Our July 2023 EV data shows that those relying on public charging spend an average of 23 ppm. That means they're paying out an extra 12 pence for every mile driven when reimbursed via the AER!

On the other hand, charging at home is much more cost-effective, with car drivers spending just 9 pence per mile on average, however, this isn't across the board, with many home charges still costing more than the AER, leaving drivers out of pocket.

So, it's clear that finding the right charging solution for all EV drivers is crucial to help maximise business charging savings.

The Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expansion is on the horizon (August 29th), so if you're going to be driving in the greater London area, there are a few things to know...

👉 The ULEZ will now include all London boroughs, not just Central London, so any non-compliant vehicles will have to pay a daily £12.50 charge.

👉 Congestion charges will still apply for Central London, but EV drivers can request an exemption through Transport for London.

👉 If you want to drive through the Ultra-Low Emission Zone without getting charged, your vehicle must comply with European emissions regulations.
