Few things are as synonymous with Yorkshire as cricket. And at a time when many clubs are struggling (and an England team tanking down under), one local club, Nawton Grange, is thriving. In 2025, our junior section picked up silverware in every age group from Under 9’s to Under 15’s, and in both the York and Derwent Valley leagues. No fewer than nine NGCC youngsters have been selected on the Yorkshire County Cricket Club Pathways programme for 2026. And this summer will see the rebirth of the second senior team.

The club is run entirely by volunteers and aided financially by sponsorship and donations. We never ask for anything without offering something in return. 2026 sponsorship starts at just £100 for the season… not bad considering we host around 60 games per season, get 200k page views on our website, and average 2k weekly social media visits from a loyal and engaged, and local audience. These members and parents appreciate the need to support the club not just in direct ways, but also indirectly, by backing the club’s sponsors.
