As the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey this year has brought and to express my sincere gratitude to everyone I have had the pleasure of working with.

This year has not been without its challenges. There have been moments of change and uncertainty, including clients closing businesses, house moves, and navigating shifting priorities. Through it all, the trust, conversations, and connections we have shared have meant a great deal to me.

Whether we have collaborated closely, exchanged ideas, or supported one another along the way, it has been a privilege to be part of your journey through coaching, consulting, and shared growth.

As we move into the festive season, I hope you find time to slow down, recharge, and enjoy meaningful moments with those closest to you. Today, I want to chat about something super important: Keeping your Website Secure 🔒

WordPress security. 🚨

WordPress is a fantastic platform, but with its popularity comes the need to stay on top of security.

Here are a few tips to help keep those pesky hackers at bay:

1️⃣ Hide Your Login Page: Use a plugin like WPS Hide Login to change your wp-admin URL. Hackers often try to access this standard page, and by hiding it, you throw them off track!

2️⃣ Install Solid Security Plugins: A good security plugin is a must! I recommend using The Headers Security Advanced & HSTS WP for added header security and Defender Pro to monitor, detect, and respond to suspicious activity. Think of them as your website’s bodyguards! 🕵️‍♂️

3️⃣ Keep Everything Up to Date: Ensure your plugins, themes, WordPress core, and PHP are always up-to-date. Updates often include patches for security vulnerabilities, so staying current is one of the easiest ways to protect your site.

4️⃣ Regular Backups: Always keep backups of your site, including the database (DB). You can quickly restore your website to its previous, safe state if anything goes wrong. It’s like a safety net for your website!
