Microsoft have stopped all support for Windows 10. That means no more security updates. Your computer will be more at risk from viruses, hackers and scams. If you have a Microsoft account you can sign up for extended updates until October this year, if not, its definitely time for an upgrade.

Microsoft Outlook stopped working? Jan 2026

If Microsoft Outlook has just stopped working, its probably due to a Windows update. To get Outlook working again uninstall update KB5074109 (Windows 11) or KB5073724 (Windows 10)
To uninstall an update in Windows 11 follow these steps - Select Start > Settings > Windows Update . Under Related settings, select Update history> Uninstall updates.
To uninstall an update in Windows 10 - Select Start > Settings > Update & Security . Under View your update history> Uninstall updates.

A bit of password security advice for everyone. I would recommend an 8 character password with a number and upper and lowercase characters. 62 years to crack should keep you safe :-)

14th Oct 2025 - Windows 10 end of life. No more security updates from Microsoft. If you don't act, your computer will become vulnerable to viruses and hackers.
You don't have to buy a new computer, there are several options. I can update most Windows 10 machines to Windows 11 even if Microsoft says you can't, or I can extend the update life of Windows 10 or another option is to install Linux, an easy to use alternative to Windows.
