Last week, OpTIC welcomed 80 people from various organisations, including Children’s Commissioner for Wales, Rocío Cifuentes, and Sandy Clubb from the Future Generations Wales to celebrate the launch of the 100 Stories report and toolkit.
100 Stories was a co-produced project led by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in collaboration with Wrexham University, Public Service Boards and community partners across North Wales. The project explores the personal stories of young adults, parents, caregivers and professionals in various sectors who have experienced the transition from Children’s Services to Adult Services.
This event celebrated the launch of the virtual gallery which showcases all the stories told, as well as the 100 Stories report which was authored by Paula Wood from Wrexham University’s research team. The report itself garnered international attention and a preface from Marshall Ganz of Harvard University, whose public narrative practices were utilised in the telling of the stories.
The storytelling toolkit was also launched which is a practical resource for professionals across health, social care, education and community settings and helps guide those who use it through the storytelling process.
