To all my iMac and MacBook friends out there, hopefully you have upgraded your machine to the latest Mac OS High Sierra...it really is a proper improvement over its predecessor “Sierra” for lots and lots of reasons, every one of them boring and technical...
BUT....
If you’re the kind of person, like most people are to be honest, who prefer to ignore the little 1 in a red circle over your App Store logo on the taskbar or haven’t visited the App Store to “check for updates”....please do so immediately.

There is a very serious security flaw in the Operating System that Apple managed to keep quite quiet, but its imperative to install the latest security update and then the latest High Sierra Software update...it could be a real security risk as it allows access to your Mac without using the password...and there are plenty of “ne'er-do-wells ” out there who’d love to access your Mac and have a look at what you’ve got and plant nasty spyware etc etc . The whole process will take from 10-20 minutes in total depending on your internet speed and your model of Mac...but it’s not just another silly Apple update that does nothing but slow down your machine...this one’s CRITICAL!!!

With Xmas rapidly approaching...please don’t buy your tech on the high street. I’m watching advert after advert for Argos, PC World and even Aldi offering “fantastic “ deals on top tech...but the truth is undoubtedly, those fantastic deals are for fantastically awful pieces of hardware.

If you’re not familiar with Solid State Drives (SSD), they’re the kind of hard drive found in phones and tablets and only recently, very high-end laptops.

Unlike normal Hard Drives (HDD) that spin at between 5400-7200rpm all the time and contain hundreds of tiny moving parts that were invented over 60 years ago, SSDs have no moving parts and are practically indestructible and operate somewhere between 30 and 60 times faster than a regular HDD.

Are you looking for a MacBook PRO but hesitating due to its hilarious price (£1500+)...then I may have the answer to your payers.
I’ve just finished totally rebuilding, refurbishing and significantly improving a 2012 MacBook Pro (not to be confused with the lowlier MacBook Air or MacBook).

It’s now easily powerful and quick enough to run the most sophisticated programs like Photoshop and Premiere -this powerhouse has an Intel i5 CPU, 8GB of RAM and a massive 500GB professional level solid state hard drive. I’ve rebuilt it from the ground up ...and it’s now quite simply one of the fastest laptops I’ve ever seen.

I’ve fitted a brand new hi-def screen (you can see the plastic protector in the photos), doubled the RAM to 8GB and fitted the fastest hard drive you can buy. This MacBook Pro is truly capable of anything from mundane emailing to 4K video editing.
It’s may not be as svelte as the new MBP, it doesn’t have the (frankly entirely useless) touch bar...but it is a brilliant Mac with everything you need to delve into the world of Apple Macs.

The best bit is I’m only looking for £650 for it.

I have a really very nice, super compact HP 14” laptop on superb condition - fully updated, upgraded and improved to function as a perfect home or office PC. Comes with a powerful Intel i3 processor, Hi-Definition screen, 4GB of RAM and most importantly, a 256GB Solid State Drive which turns a humdrum Laptop into a super speedy machine- perfect for homework, watching movies, editing photos and having fun online.
