Detecting stopped vehicles using roadside radar: SVR-500

Ogier’s SVR-500 radar provides automatic incident detection to rapidly identify stopped vehicles in all weathers. This sensor quickly detects breakdowns to alert other road users and prevent collisions.

Our field-proven 24 GHz scanning radar technology can see through rain, fog and smoke making the system ideal for bridges and tunnels.
SVR-500 covers up to 500m of highway with complete 360-degree coverage to monitor all lanes, hard shoulders and slip roads.

The radar can be mounted high to prevent obscuration by tall vehicles. Due to the carefully designed antennas the blind spot underneath the radar is almost eliminated entirely.

Scan-360 Security Radar

The Scan-360 range of high performance microwave radar sensors provides full area or perimeter coverage as required at a fraction of the price of their military counterparts.

All sensors have low power consumption and use Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to provide connectivity and power via a single cable. The radar sensors can operate a compatible PTZ camera slewing it onto the target. The flagship, Scan-360, is able to control up to four cameras simultaneously and follow each target.

Microwave sensors work 24 hours a day in all weathers seeing through rain, fog, mist and snow, in blindingly bright light or total darkness.

Track to Train Transmission Systems

Our proven microwave system transmits high-quality dynamic images from the platform CCTV cameras to drivers of Driver Only Operated (DOO) trains as they approach and leave stations. In-cab monitors clearly show the entire length of the train and platform interface until the whole train has safely departed the station. The system is suitable for surface, sub-surface and underground railways.

Broadband Wireless

Ogier's Broadband Wireless equipment offers a cost effective solution for rural areas where ADSL or cable is neither available nor financially viable. The system operates in the 10.5 GHz frequency band and achieves high megabit data rates over ranges up to 10 km.
The system interfaces directly to Data-Over-Cable-Service-Interface-Specification (DOCSIS) equipment (the de-facto world standard for IP cable systems).
The system allows operators the maximum flexibility in the choice of equipment manufacturers and suppliers. The system is transparent and behaves identically to cable.
