Received my copy of this beautiful book by phatmedia rave flyers today showcasing some brilliant rave flyers from the 88/89 era. Some of which I’d had a hand in producing a long time ago. Long before Ai and photoshop, these were hand drawn, pasted up as artworks and originated in repro departments up and down the country before finally being printed on single colour or two colour print presses. Not a quick process back in the day which make some of these even more impressive.
The new AI templates are not a patch on these bad boy designs. Give me original art any day of the week.
