We're open again as usual from today! Apologies if you tried to come by yesterday, seems we can't dodge illness forever :(

We've heavily restocked a bunch of our gaming lines in the past week. Our PS2 shelves are burgeoning, we now have too many Anime DVDs to fit into the cabinet that holds them, and we've actually got some DS Pokémon games in again! Pop by quickly if you want a crack at those as they'll be gone in no time.

Only a few days left until Games Workshop's announced price hike comes into effect! 0-20% price hikes across their range, so if you want to grab some bits before they go up forever, stop in asap! We just restocked our range so we probably have what you need :)

Afternoon all!

It just came to our attention that the coronavirus-delayed Smash Tournament event had slipped our notice and the date was set for today. It did say in the event that it was still postponed indefinitely, but to avoid confusion we thought it would be best to mention here as well that it is still postponed, and there is no date set for it yet.

Very sorry for any confusion! It will be happening in the future, but for now keep practicing online!

Happy Holidays to all of you! We at Outland hope that you all had a nice relaxing Christmas and got a lot of new games and toys to enjoy and relax with!

We're done with out Xmas break, and from tomorrow the shop will be back open with regular hours. The only exception is that we'll be closed on Saturday 1st of January and bank holiday Monday to have a much needed snooze.

We look forward to seeing you all in and hearing about what cool things you got for Christmas :)

Thanks so much to everyone who spent the time to enter our Warhammer Painting Competition, we're happy to say that we had a difficult time picking winners from among all of the excellent figures that you brought in to us! Regardless, winners had to be picked, so without further ado...

1st Place - Alex (Winning £80 of Warhammer store credit!)
2nd Place - Calvin (Winning £40 of Warhammer store credit!)
3rd Place - Will (Winning £20 of Warhammer store credit!)

We ended up selecting 3 other models that stood out to us in various way too, which all get an extra £5 worth of store credit towards something of their choice, and those go to entries from Lux (for the Space Marine that looked like a Doom enemy), Bryan (for an extremely seasonal piece called "Santa Claws" that stretched out basing rules to the limit!), and Jamie (for the Centurion-inspired piece that only just missed out 3rd place!).

It was tough to separate the top spots as they were all painted so incredibly well, but ultimately the extra touches of customisation and skill at which they were done with is what separated them.

Attached are pictures of all of the entrants, as well as some closer pictures of the top 3 entrants. We'll have all of the models on display in the cabinet in the shop for the next few weeks if you want to come and see some of the amazing entries in person, as my camera doesn't really do some of the them justice!

We're glad that you all had a good time creating these, and it was fantastic to see the imagination and effort that was put into a lot of the entries. I certainly didn't expect to see Krang, for instance! We'll be doing this again sometime next year for sure, so keep an eye on the page and get those armies ready to play :D

Just in time for Christmas, the new Warhammer Battleforce boxes are here!

These are extremely limited items that will be available from tomorrow, so if you're after them throw us a message on here or pop on down from 11am.

We've also added even more stuff to the regular range, so if you're after a gift for that special 40k or Sigmar fan in your life, we probably have something!

Just a reminder that there's still plenty of time to come and grab your miniature for the painting competition! We have a lot of entries already but there's plenty more space for you to bring your interesting painting ideas to life :D

This winter we at Outland will be running our first Warhammer Painting Competition! We know that there are plenty of you out where who are as passionate about painting miniatures as we are, and we want to see what you can all do. Whether you fancy yourself the next 'Eavy Metal painter, or you just aspire to be able to paint as well as an Ork, this first competition is simple and suitable for everyone!

We have a ton of Primaris Intercessors and Stormcast Vindicators who are just waiting to be slathered in paint and shown off in our display cabinet in-store, and they want you to be the ones to paint them! There's no strict 'theme' for this event, but creativity is encouraged and y'know... Christmas is just around the corner and all.

There'll be a team of "expert" judges ready to assess the models at the end of the competition period, and there are be prizes to be won for the 3 models voted to be the best. So how to you enter, and how to you win? Well, just take a peek at the rules below!

Rules:
- The competition will run from November 22nd until December 17th. Get your miniatures back to us before the end of the 17th or else you won't be eligible for entry!
- Come in store to pick up your choice of a Primaris Intercessor or Stormcast Vindicator. Entry will cost £1!
- Some amount of kitbashing is allowed. We'll explain to you exactly what you can change and how far you can go with it when you come to collect your miniature.
- Bases can be decorated with as much or as little effort as you like, and they will be taken into account when it comes to judging.
- The 3 criteria that we're using to judge the models are Creativity, Build Quality, and Painting Quality, so make sure to smooth down those seam lines and thin those paints!
- All models will be displayed in the cabinet in store at the end of the competition period so that everyone can take a good look at all of the entries.
- Judges will convene at the end of the competition date to judge the miniatures, and will declare the winner within a couple of days of the competition closing.

Prizes:
1st Place - £80 worth of store credit towards WH purchases!
2nd Place - £40 worth of store credit towards WH purchases!
3rd Place - £20 worth of store credit towards WH purchases!
