If you have purchased a new pc or laptop.. bitlocker drive encryption will be active .. which serves zero purpose for you but will lock you drive down if your computer fails to start after a crash or big update and will ask you for a 48 digit code that you won’t have .. and there’s no way to bypass it without sacrificing all your files .. .. so my advice is turn it off ..the tell tale sign is a padlock showing next to your C drive when yo view it on the my pc icon …
My refurbed machines have this disabled so it’s only brand new computers that have it activated … don’t be a victim disable it now ….
