Another example of why you should fully take the console apart to clean.
Every step of this one we used a hoover/ compressed air and brushs and still the next layer of components are ramed full of dust and debris.
Each photo is another layer of components removed.
Hoovering, compressed air helps, but its like using a plaster when you need stitchs.

Check this blast from the past, this is what 1995 looks like kids. The iPhone is for size reference and yes those are actual buttons, no apps here. If you are wondering why I have taken a picture of a bank card, it's not believe it or not that's a SIM card. The tiny card next to that is what we use now. Check out the size of that battery wow, and yes it's heavy and is most likely considered a weapon nowadays.

How deep is your clean sir? This started as a 2/10 fan looks quite clean, but look a lot deeper and you can see why this was overheating.
Just blowing out or vacuuming is not enough. The APU on the PS5 will oxidise over time forming a gap between the liquid metal and Heat sinq. This alone will cause over heating but block all the other vents and your in real danger of damaging the device. Make sure when you pay for a clean you get a full clean, polish heat sinq/ APU and add new or clean liquid metal, or really whats the point. UK Microsoldering

After cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and using the air compressor (to clean as we take apart).
This was still trapped in and around the APU.
Kind of impressive how dirty this one was.
this was a solid 9.5, i wasnt going to take any pictures as we are so busy but had to stop at this point.

This ones a solid 8.5, iv seen cleaner hoovers. eeek Just goes to show that it can look quite clean on the outside, but inside is a different world.
This was brought in for overheating, cleaning and replacing the thermal paste will extend the life of your console and make them run better..
Make sure you check them especially in this 🥵 🔥

This one is a good one, she gets a solid 9.1. Came in for "no signal" UK Microsoldering replacend the HDMI port and we fully cleaned and changed the thermal paste. Wasn't the deep clean she needed, but a huge difference, at least she can breath and can now cool her self down.

this one gets a 7.1/10 just for its age and the size of those dust bunnies.
Deep cleaned, polished and replaced the liquid metal. Booom

This ones a 6/10 really quite good for the age. UK Microsoldering replaced HDMI, we cleaned and new thermal paste and shes ready to go.
