“I wouldn’t know what to say.”
That’s the most common thought… and exactly why this workshop exists.

“The Stories We Carry: A Community Storytelling Day” is about sharing and recording our stories so that they may be remembered.

This is a small group of like-minded individuals who understand the importance of connecting to our roots through storytelling.

You’ll be guided step by step:
• simple prompts to help you remember
• support in shaping your story
• a calm, respectful space to share

There’s no pressure. Share whatever you feel like sharing.

This is a space to reflect, to find joy, and share moments in your life that made a difference.
Memories shared with loved ones.

If you’ve been unsure… this is your sign.

Imagine being able to hear someone’s story…
in their own voice… years from now.
That’s what we’re creating!

Be part of “The Stories We Carry: A Community Storytelling Day”, a storytelling archive made up of real people, sharing real moments that shaped their lives.

If you join this workshop, you won’t just reflect.
You’ll contribute to something bigger than yourself.

🎥 Participants will have the opportunity to record their story as part of this archive (with full consent and support).

This is about preserving lived experience. Not polished narratives.

The secret to a long life isn’t what you think. 🥦🏃‍♂️

We live in a culture obsessed with optimisation. We count calories, track our sleep, biohack our routines, and drag ourselves through punishing gym sessions while listening to productivity podcasts.

But if you look at the "Blue Zones", the regions where people live the longest, healthiest lives, they aren't doing any of that. They aren’t chasing life; they are simply living it.

The secret isn't a luxury wellness retreat. It’s remarkably ordinary:
• Natural Movement: They don’t schedule gym time; they garden, walk to visit neighbours, and cook from scratch.
• Simple Eating: They eat largely plant-based, home-grown foods without restrictive, stressful diets.
• Radical Belonging: They live in communities where neighbours notice if your shutters aren't open, elders are revered, and no one is anonymous.

Modern life gave us convenience, but it dismantled community. We scroll through lives instead of sitting in them. We’ve mistaken stimulation for fulfilment, and productivity for living.

Loneliness is now as dangerous to our health as smoking. The Blue Zones remind us that a long life isn't just about eating lentils; it’s about feeling rooted.

Maybe peace doesn’t come from adding more to our lives, but from removing what fragments it. Less rushing. More presence.

What’s one small way you can choose "connection" over "convenience" today? 👇

We often inherit stories… but rarely stop to tell our own.

Your experiences are part of a larger thread.
Your memories shape identity.
Your voice carries meaning beyond today.

“The Stories We Carry: A Community Storytelling Day” is about honouring that.
Not in a grand way… but in a real, human way.

One story. One moment. One truth that belongs to you.

You’ll leave with something memorable… but more importantly, something felt:
connection, clarity, and a deeper sense of where you stand in your own story.

What if one story from your life could outlive you?

Not everything we live through is remembered.
Not every memory is passed on.

“The Stories We Carry: A Community Storytelling Day” is an invitation to pause and capture one moment that shaped you.
A moment that belongs to your roots, your journey, your identity.

You’ll be gently guided to:
• reflect on your life experiences
• select meaningful photos
• write one significant moment
• share your story, in your own words

Your voice will become part of a growing storytelling archive. A record of real lives, real memories, real connection.

Do schools prepare our children for life, or simply for exams?
Most young people leave school knowing algebra, science, and history.
But many still struggle with:

Budgeting
Banking
Understanding a payslip
What about pensions?
Managing debt
Running a household

These aren't optional life skills. They are essential.

Schools carry an enormous responsibility, but perhaps we've come to expect them to teach what families once passed down naturally.

Maybe the real question isn't what schools teach.
Maybe it's what we teach at home.
What life skill do you wish you'd learned earlier?

👇 Share your thoughts in the comments.

There are conversations about education and how in the past decades the system failed students, though it is not always spoken out loud. Are our children being prepared for life? Or just for exams?

A storytelling workshop is coming to Rugby… and it’s unlike anything you’ve done before.

“The Stories We Carry: A Community Storytelling Day” is about remembering and sharing our stories.

It is about capturing one meaningful moment from your life and preserving it.

In this 3-hour guided session, you will:

• organise personal photos
• shape your story with simple prompts
• write from memory, not pressure
• share your story on video

By the end, you’ll have created something deeply personal and lasting.

Small group. Supportive environment. No skills needed.

We just want you to enjoy the day and tell us your story.

Your voice will become part of a growing storytelling archive. A record of real lives, real memories, real connection.

Not everything needs to be done all at once.

Sometimes, it begins with a single photograph.

A single story.

A single conversation.

A quiet moment of remembering.

There is no perfect time to start gathering your family’s stories.
Only the moment you choose to begin.

Whether you are holding memories of someone you’ve lost,
or sitting beside someone whose stories are still waiting to be told…

This work matters.
Not just for today.

But for the generations who will one day ask,
“Who were they?”
“And where do I come from?”

If this speaks to you, you’re gently invited to take a look at www.mmbcreative.net

A quiet space to begin, when you’re ready.
