There is a well known "learning pyramid" whose origins are shrouded in mystery, and sometimes referred to as the "cone of learning" it states that a "learner" will retain 5% via a lecture, 10% via reading, 20% via audio/visual, 30% via demonstration, 50% in a discussion group, 75% via doing, and 90% by teaching others.
At the National Data Centre Academy www.nationaldatacentre.academy we teach by audio/visual, demonstration, discussion groups and by doing, which we believe is far better than a webinar or classroom.
We provide short (1 day) and long (3-5 days) courses covering data centre engineering, including Data Centre Industry Awareness, ideal for new entrants to the sector, Data Centre Standards, covering all the global standards, Data Centre Legislation, covering the EU/UK regulatory environment, Data Centre Cooling covering the basics of cooling, Data Centre Power, covering power systems, Data Centre Sustainability, covering ESG aspects and construction, Data Centre Commissioning, covering the IST regime and our longer courses, Data Centre 101 and its sister course Data Centre 101 for planning officers, Data Centre/Server Room Energy Efficiency and Building the Data Centre of the Future.
We can also work with you to develop a course specifically for your needs.
For further information visit the website or contact us on [email protected].
Sometimes you need to be inside a data centre to understand it, and you won't get that online or in a classroom, the National Data Centre Academy has its own mini server room where delegates improve the room using the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres (Energy Efficiency) best practices, and our other technical training suite covering power, D2C and Immersed Compute is in detailed planning.
Our courses are checked prior to every delivery to ensure that delegates get the latest and most up to date information on standards, legislation and technologies.
