Another new website is live

We’ve recently been working with Surrey Mobile Health to create their new website, google my business page and social media pages ready for the launch of the business.

Surrey Mobile Health provides mobile health services across Surrey, including ear wax removal and medication compliance support, so one of the most important parts of the project was making sure the website explained both services clearly and made it easy for people to understand what help was available.

As with lots of new businesses, there were plenty of things to work through along the way too. It wasn’t just a case of building a few pages and making them look nice. We helped with the structure of the site, the wording, how the services should be explained and all of those little questions that come up when you’re trying to get a new business ready to launch.

That’s one of the things we really enjoy about working with businesses at this stage. You’ve usually got enough going on already without also trying to work out how to build a website from scratch, so being able to take that part off someone’s list and turn all of their ideas into something they can actually launch is always lovely.

We’re really pleased to see Rebecca and her business live and ready for her next chapter.

You don’t need an expensive SEO tool to do a few useful checks on your own website.

Start with Google and search your business name. Does your website come up? Does the title underneath actually make sense and does the description sound like something that would make somebody want to click?

Then try searching for one of your main services along with the area you work in. For example, “accountant Medway” or “wedding celebrant Kent”. Have a look at whether you appear and, if you do, which page Google is showing.

It’s also worth asking yourself whether that is actually the page you would want somebody to land on.

These checks aren’t going to replace a proper SEO review, but they can give you a really useful starting point and help you spot things that might need some attention.

SEO can feel quite technical from the outside, but sometimes the best place to start is simply looking at your website in the same way your customers do.

M&A Digital Solutions is 3 today

It feels slightly mad saying that because when Matt first started the business, the plan was really just to offer SEO.

It didn’t take long for him to realise that there was only so much you could do with SEO if the website underneath it wasn’t doing its job properly. So websites naturally became a bigger part of what M&A offered, followed by branding, ongoing support and helping businesses get much clearer about how they present themselves online.

Then in April 2025 I joined the business full-time, and M&A became the husband-and-wife team it is today.

Over the last three years we’ve worked with businesses that were nothing more than an idea, businesses that had been established for years and just needed a fresh pair of eyes, and plenty of people somewhere in between. We’ve built new websites, helped businesses improve old ones, worked on SEO, branding and messaging, and spent a lot of time helping people work out what they actually need rather than trying to sell them things they don’t.

There have definitely been some long days, plenty of learning as we’ve gone and probably far too many conversations about websites outside of working hours, but we’re really proud of what M&A has become.

And year four is going to look slightly different again, because we’ve also got a very small new team member arriving in November.

A massive thank you to every client who has trusted us with their business, everyone who has recommended us and all the people who have supported us over the last three years. We genuinely wouldn’t be here without you.

Here’s to year four!

Someone showed us an AI-generated flyer recently and asked what we thought of it.

Technically, there wasn't anything massively wrong with it. It was polished. The layout worked. The colours looked fine.

But it also looked exactly like an AI-generated flyer.

That conversation carried on over coffee afterwards because once you start noticing them, you see the same style everywhere.

Big dramatic headings. Glowing gradients. Stock-looking people. Lots of effects. Designs that look professional enough but don't really feel like they belong to the business using them. And that's the problem.

A flyer isn't just there to look nice. It should feel connected to your brand. Someone should be able to see it and recognise that it came from you. AI is brilliant at producing something quickly.

What it doesn't naturally have is the context behind your business, your audience, your tone and all the little things that make your brand recognisable.

If every business starts with the same prompt, it's not surprising when all the designs start looking the same. AI uses whatever is already on the internet so if it is looking at other AI designs it starts to replicate this and that is why they all look the same.

When was the last time you looked at your website properly, not as the person who knows the business inside out, but as somebody visiting it for the very first time?

A really simple thing you can do is open your homepage and see how quickly you can answer four questions: What does this business do? Who is it for? Where do they work? And what should I do next?

If you have to scroll around, read several paragraphs or click through different pages to work any of those things out, there may be room to make things clearer.

That doesn’t always mean adding more information either. Quite often it’s the opposite. Moving the important bits higher up the page, cutting out some of the waffle or making the next step more obvious can make a huge difference.

It only takes ten minutes to have a look and it’s a really useful way of seeing your website through somebody else’s eyes. If you have been looking at your website for so long you now have square eyes we are more than happy to have a look for free.

We spoke to someone recently who had started building their website with AI and wanted some help finishing it off.

On paper, it sounded simple.

In reality, it had created one of those jobs where you quickly realise that fixing what's there may take longer than starting with a proper plan in the first place.

The pages repeated themselves. Some sections didn't really belong anywhere. The messaging was generic, and there were important questions about the business that had never been answered because AI had simply worked with whatever information it was given.

We ended up talking about it afterwards over coffee because this is becoming more common.

AI can build something that looks like a website incredibly quickly.

But it doesn't sit down with you and ask why one service matters more than another. It doesn't spot that your customers always ask the same question before buying. It doesn't challenge a confusing offer or realise that something you've written makes perfect sense to you because you've worked in the industry for 20 years, but means nothing to a new customer.

That human understanding is the bit that's very difficult to replace. We are not saying do not use AI, it is a great start but once you have started use human brains to add the human touch.

Sometimes you don't need a brand-new website. Sometimes you need some 1:1 guidance.

We've had businesses come to us after working with a coach or changing the direction of their services because the words on their existing website simply don't match what they're trying to sell anymore.

In those situations, the best solution can be far simpler: work through the important pages, update the messaging, make a few design adjustments and sort out some of the technical details in the background.

A few focused hours can sometimes make a website and marketing feel significantly clearer without throwing away something that is already working.

We start with a chat to see what you are thinking so that we can represent that online and your work going forward. You can get this help for free if you pay your council tax to Medway - get in touch to find out more.

Chat over coffee…

We have to answer this one on a regular basis as more businesses and people switch on to AI and its capabilities grow and are more task are able to be completed by it.

Do you think AI is going to take your job?

We use AI in the business, and there are definitely things it can make quicker or easier. But when it comes to understanding a business, asking the right questions, challenging an idea and creating something that actually feels right for the person behind it, we still think the human part matters enormously.

AI is changing how a lot of us work, though, so we’d love to know what you think.

Are you excited by it, worried about it, already using it every day… or thoroughly fed up with hearing about it?

SEO isn't always about making huge changes to a website.

Sometimes we're working on things that a normal visitor may never even notice: making sure a page has one clear H1, improving the meta title that appears in Google, checking page structure, adding relevant internal links or helping Google understand which page should rank for which search.

None of those things sound particularly exciting on their own.

Together, though, they help create a website that is much easier for both people and search engines to understand.

Good SEO is often less about finding one clever trick and more about getting lots of the small things right consistently. If your potential clients or AI cannot read your website they will not find you.

That's right this week was Matt's favourite networking event of the month Padle networking hosted by Platform 26 for 21 Together

Not only does Matt get to practise his padel skills, he also gets the chance to catch up with other local Medway businesses over some fresh air, pastries and coffee.

It’s relaxed, informal and a great way to meet people without the usual networking format.

If you fancy joining in next month, get in touch with 21 Together to find out more.
