Today marks another milestone in the development of X4, the Diplomacy update (v8.0) and the release of the Envoy Pack (mini DLC).

The free update looks to include many new features and updates to the game, like the new Diplomacy system. One major update is that the map has been tweaked. Its much easier to read now, it was getting rather busy.

Egosoft arent finished yet, also the mini DLC: Envoy Pack is released too. The adds some more content to the game: two new frigates, plot and a new sector to explore.

Today marks the release of Hyperion Pack (mini DLC) and Flight Model Update. Veteran players of previous X-games will remember the Hyperion ship from X3. It was a reward for completing the Bala Gi Missons (in X3). The ship was somewhat overpowered but was a lot of fun to fly. Now (many years later) Egosoft is bringing the ship back with an updated design and a new class for X4.

The DLC also includes a new story to earn the ship, a new game start (allowing you to jump straight into the new ship), another sector to explore, and some brilliant music to listen to.

Not only that, Egosoft has updated the main game to version v7.50, which brings overhauled flight physics, a new boost mechanic, support for DLSS / FSR 3, and many more features. The complete change list can be seen over on the Egosoft site.

You may think that Egosoft has finished with X4 by now. Well, that's not the case! Egosoft have released a roadmap showing what they plan to do till 2026! You can see the roadmap here:

Its been 25 years since the first x-game landed - X: Beyond the Frontier. Kyle Brennan set forth on a journey that would entertain millions of players over countless hours. Congratulations to Egosoft for reaching 25 years!

In honour of celebrating 25 years, Egosoft are taking part in Steams: Space Exploration Fest. In this event you can find large discounts on many space games, including the x-series.

hi guys, due to some changes to our home internet connection, the Elite & Dangerous DB stuff will be offline. This means the Trade-Helper/equipment searches wont work. Do you guys still use the trade-helper/equipment searches? If so, I could look at getting a second VPS to run it. Another VPS would cost extra to run, but depends on whether its worthwhile - ofcourse ill do it if you guys want it. A year or so ago the site moved from shared hosting to a VPS.

If you guys dont use it much, then maybe take down these sections? Would you mind if the functionality of the Elite Dangerous site was reduced?

I really need your comments!

Today marks the release of X4's next DLC - Timelines. In this DLC you get to play over 30 scenarios including some from important events. You will be rated (or scored) depending on your actions, which you can compare with your friends. Completing scenarios you will unlock additional rewards for your sandbox universe.

The site has been updated to include Timelines and v7.00. I was planning to add a guide on the Timeline missions but I have been rather busy and didnt want to publish an inferior guide. So that will be released at a later date, when I feel it meets my expections.

hi guys, just to let you know that the web-server (the one at my home and hosting the Elite Dangerous DB) has been upgraded.

The old system was a:
2600k (2nd Gen, 4x core, 8 threads),
8Gb ram DDR2,
WD 500Gb SSD

To now;
6600k (4 cores, 4 threads),
32Gb ram DDR4 2133Mhz,
WD 2Tb M.2 Gen 3, SN750.

Basically bits ive put together, I had to buy a 'new' MB. This should mean the Trade-helper is faster?

Ive had a few problems during the past days, including having to reinstall everything :(

I thought you guys maybe interested.

It appears Egosoft arent quite finished with X4 yet - annoucning a new DLC called: Timelines and major update version 7.0. The new DLC will bring new sectors, ships and a story line, whilst 7.0 will bring many update and fixes (redesigned capital ships, more places).
