They say you can’t think properly on an empty stomach 🌭🍺
Being from Germany (and wanting a bit of home comfort), I decided the best option to chat through the ups and downs of some recent projects with the fantastic team from one of our clients was with some authentic culinary diplomacy 🇩🇪🇬🇧

After a quick pint to catch up on everything from pets to holidays to AI usage at the White Cross in Richmond, we headed over to Stein’s for a proper feast, sitting down over Currywurst, Nürnberger Bratwurst, Weißwurst and plenty of German beer.

Taking conversations outside the office made all the difference. Between bites, we had an honest, constructive chat about what had and had not been working, cleared the air, and aligned on how to make things run smoother moving forward.

Proof that good partnerships aren't about pretending bumps in the road never happen. They are about sitting down together, addressing them openly, and sorting it out over a sausage 🥨🤝

15 years. Two websites. And apparently, one more booked in for 2040. 🎬
Back in 2011, we built the first proper website for Bamberg’s ODEON & Lichtspiel cinemas. It was built to last – and it did, serving Bamberg’s cinema lovers for the next 15 years.
Now it was finally time for V2.
Here are Gerrit and Diana from Lichtspiel with Matthias, who led the new project from our side. And a special mention to Elke, who designed both the original website 15 years ago and the new one today. ❤️
We’re incredibly proud of relationships like this. Technology changes. Trust lasts.

From making aftershave to building custom software 🧴💻

In 1997, our co-founder and CTO, Anurag Jain, almost took a very different path! He spent a week at pharmacy college learning how to make aftershave before switching to Computer Engineering at PCCE Verna.

That switch changed everything 🚀

After graduating, Anurag teamed up with Nilesh and Jonny, coding a multi-lingual CMS for Verbatim Europe—sapnagroup’s very first major client, who stayed with us for over two decades! 🌐👏

Recently, Anurag returned to PCCE for his 25th anniversary reunion to celebrate where it all began 🎓✨

Being a member of Pimento is fantastic not just for the excellent hosted events, thought-provoking webinars and engaging networking opportunities (especially as a remote team), but also for the connections made along the way. After all we’re all here to help one another.

Events like the 6pm Club provide a great opportunity to speak to other industry experts, hear fresh perspectives on the world, catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Personal highlights from us in the recent months have included coffees with Patrick Woods to discuss industry news and strategy guidance, and Aperols with Laura Cristiani to chat about the world of Business Development, it’s great to be able to share ideas and support each other on the day-to-day challenges of working life.

We have been putting Google’s Antigravity and its new browser sub-agents to the test in our daily QA workflows 🤖💻 The tool mimics human testing, and our experience with it so far has been incredibly eye-opening.
Instead of just running generic checks, we used it on a live client project to see how it handled complex, real-world scenarios. Here is what we found:
📱 It caught the details we might have missed
During mobile testing, it flagged layout breaks specifically on iPhone models and even spotted where text inside a pie chart was being clipped and hidden.
🔍 It works inside logged-in sessions
We were able to securely log the AI agent into the application to test restricted areas. Using a custom visualiser we built, the system successfully flagged admin options that should have been hidden but were still being displayed.
🔄 Perfect for rapid regression testing
We built a suite of saved test cases that we can run instantly after any code deployment or upgrade. It is proving incredibly useful for testing dynamic elements that change constantly, like verifying that new coupon codes actually work.
It is still early days, but using AI-driven agents for QA is rapidly changing how we catch bugs and ensure rock-solid deployments for our clients.
